Case Analysis Of One Neck And Shoulder Pain Patient And Literature Review

Objective: To deepen the understanding of neck and shoulder pain diseases,improve the accuracy of the diagnosis and the effectiveness of treatment of neck and shoulder pain,reduce the pain and the economic burden for patients,and to reduce medical costs.Methods: The clinical data of 1 patient with neck and shoulder pain in the Pain Medicine Department of The Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University and literatures were review-ed.Results: The final diagnoses of the patients were:(1)myofascitis of neck and right shoulder;(2)infection of the soft tissue of neck and right shoulder.After accurate diagnosis and timely and effective treatments,the pain in neck and right shoulder of the patient was significantly relieved and the numeric rating scale(NRS)score was 3 at discharge.After discharge,return visit of the patient showed no recurrence so far.Conclusion:(1)The pattern of thinking,named "monism",should be taken to give the least diagnosis for patients if the neck and shoulder pain is lead to by the same of diseases,and their pathogenesis are similar,the treatment methods are the same.(1)The possibility of local infection should be taken into consideration for the patients who had neck and shoulder pain,even though without obvious redness and swelling in the are a of pain and clinical symptoms of infection.
