Objective:Through this study further confirmed the related factors of cervical intervertebral disc degeneration in patients with Modic changes. To provide powerful help for basic and clinical research of cervical degenerative disease.Method:A retrospective analysis of our hospital and outpatient 2013/1-2014/12 our hospital during the period of the 293 cases of patients with cervical degenerative disease of the MRI sheet, according to these patients with Modic type of change, influence factors related to gender, age, record the patient’s weight, height, amount of labor,to explore the relationship between Modic changes and the strength of the shoulder pain. The use of statisticalepidemiology among etiology research analysis method.Result:Total 293 patients with cervical degenerative disease have 386 lumbar segment, including 56 patients with 64 Modic changes, cervical vertebra Modic changes in the incidence of 19.11%; 25 Male patients, accounting for 44.64% of the patients with Modic changes,31 women, accounting for 55.36% of the patients with Modic changes,188 cases accompanied by obvious strength shoulder pain,105 cases without apparent effort shoulder pain, shoulder pain incidence is 64.16%; 8 patients with Modic type I among Modic changes, 36 patients with Modic II,12 patients with Modic type III, Incidence of Modic type I is 2.73%, Modic type Ⅱ is 13.31% and Modic type III is 4.09%; Section of the lumbar spine Modic changes are 3 C2/3,10 C3/4,16 C4/5,26 C516,9 C6/7, incidence of C2/3 is 4.69%, C3/4 is 15.62%, C4/5 is 25%, C516 is 15.62%, C6/7 is 14.06%;①The results "female patients and male patients with spine Modic changes than P> 0.05 no statistical significance compared" (see Table 1);②The research results" x2=7.304, young and middle-aged groups were compared with P=0.007< 0.05, there was statistical significance; x2=19.102, the young group and the old group compared toP=0.000< 0.05, there was statistical significance; the middle-aged and old groups of cervical Modic change ratiocompared with P=0.47> 0.05 no statistical significance"(see Table 2); ③The results of this study" x2=9.496, the normal group and overweight group compared to P=0.002< 0.05, there was statistical significance; x2=8.706, the normal group and obese group compared toP=0.003< 0.05, there was statistical significance; x2= 1.060, overweight and obese compared with P=0.303> 0.05, no statistical significance" (see Table 3);④The results of this study" x2=12.796, light physical group and the strength of group P=0.031< 0.05, there was statistical significance; x2=7.436, the physical group and laborgroup compared to P=0.004 < 0.05, there was statistical significance; x2=11.346, light physical group and labor group compared to the P= 0.013 is less than 0.05, there was statistical significance." (see Table 4)⑤56 Cervical Modic change cases,47 cases accompanied by strong shoulder pain, the incidence is 83.92%; 237 cases with no Modic changes,141 cases with strong shoulder pain, the incidence is 59.49%, x2= 11.762, P< 0.05"(see Table5);, ⑥ suggesting that low back pain and lumbar Modie change are significantly correlated; Incidence of cervical spine Modic changes had no statistical significance differences between Modic type I and Modic type II (P> 0.05); Incidence of cervical spine Modic changes had no statistical significance differences between Modie type I change and Modic type III(P> 0.05);Incidence of cervical spine Modic changes had no statistical significance differences between Modie II and Modic III causing strength shoulder pain (P > 0.05) (see Table 6);.Conclusion:The results of this study found that cervical Modic changes and gender was not statistically significant. Among the patients with cervical degeneration, cervical Modic change with age,BMI index, the amount of labor and the strength of shoulder pain has certain correlation.Cervical Modic change is one of the most important factors of strength of shoulder pain, shoulder pain and stiffness of various types of Modic had no statistical significance.
