Clinical Research Of The Treatment On Cold-damp Type Periarthritis Of Shoulder With Internal Heat Needle

Objective:In this study,we set warm acupuncture therapy as control and tried to verify the superiority of internal heated needle therapy in treating cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder through the clinical study,and sought a more secure and effective treatment for the clinical treatment of this disease.Methods:In this research,we gathered a total of 60 patients with cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder enrolled in Tongren Hospital of Wuhan University(Wuhan Third Hospital)from January 2016 to October 2016.Serial number in order of medical treatment and randomly divided the patients into 2 groups according to odd and even numbers,each group of 30 cases.After the informed consent was signed,the treatment group was treated with internal heated needle and the control group was treated with warm acupuncture.The therapeutic effects were evaluated by visual analogue score(VAS),Constant-Murley shoulder function score and Periarthritis of shoulder and disease assessment score.These wered used to evaluate before and after treatment.Efficacy evaluation indicators refer to "the Disease of TCM syndrome diagnosis curative standard".Through comparison of cure rate and total effective rate after treatment of 1 courses,treatment of 2 courses and return visit or telephone visit for treatment for 3 months,analyse the difference of clinical efficacy between the two groups.Results:(1)At the end of treatment,the total effective rate of internal heat needle group and warm acupuncture group were 100% and 89.66% respectively,and there was no significant difference(p>0.05).The cure rates of internal heat needle group and warm acupuncture group were 60.71% and 37.93%,respectively,there was significant statistical difference between the two groups(p<0.05),which indicated that the two methods were effective for the treatment of cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder,but the effect of internal heat needle group was more significant than warm acupuncture group.Through vertical comparison of cure rate and total effective rate of treatment of 1 courses,treatment of 2 courses or telephone visit for treatment for 3 months,the short-term and long-term efficacy of internal heat needle group was better than that of warm acupuncture group.(2)On the VAS score,the scores of the two groups before and after treatment were compared and analyzed,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).The difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(p<0.01),indicating that the two therapies can effectively relieve the shoulder pain of patients with cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder,and the effect of internal heat needle group is better than warm acupuncture group.(3)On Constant-Murley shoulder function score,the scores of the two groups before and after treatment were compared and analyzed,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).The difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(p<0.05),indicating that the two therapies can effectively improve the Shoulder joint function of patients with cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder,and the effect of internal heat needle group is better than warm acupuncture group.(4)In the evaluation of shoulder joint disease,comparatively analyse the related scoring index for activity of daily living and cold feeling degree.There were significant differences in the scores of the two groups before and after treatment(p<0.05);the difference between the two groups was also statistically significant(p<0.05).The results showed that the two therapies can effectively improve the daily living ability and cold symptoms of patients with cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder,and the effect of internal heat needle group is better than that of warm acupuncture group.(5)In the aspect of safety evaluation,there was no adverse event of burn and scald in internal heat needle group,3 cases of burn and scald adverse events occurred in warm acupuncture group.Security of internal heat needle group was better than warm acupuncture group in this research.Conclusion:(1)The results of this study show that internal heat needle therapy and warm acupuncture therapy are effective in the treatment of cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder.However,internal heat needle therapy is superior to warm acupuncture therapy in terms of clinical efficacy,pain relief,improvement of joint function and quality of life,or in terms of safety.(2)The results of this study show that in the treatment of cold-damp type periarthritis of shoulder,internal heat needle therapy has a high cure rate,rapid onset,stable and lasting curative effect,safe and reliable,and is worthy of clinical application in the treatment of other chronic soft tissue injury.
