ObjectiveTo compare the clinical efficacy differences between balancing Acupuncture combined with Jin’s three-needle therapy(BAJTT)and Jin’s three-needle therapy alone(JTT)in shoulder periarthritis to broaden the train of thought for the treatment of frozen shoulder, find a new scientific and effective method.Methods60 patients were randomly assigned into the treatment group(BAJTT group)and the control group(JTT group),30 cases for each group. The treatment group used Jin’s three-needle Shoulder(Shoulder I,Shoulder II,Shoulder III)and Jiantong point as the main points, complemented by dialectical selections of points. The patients should take sitting or lateral position to fully expose the suffering shoulder,Acupuncture shoulder I,shoulder II,shoulder III and auxiliary points and stay 30 min,After pulling the needles out,the patient should fully expose the contralateral calf of the suffering shoulder, then we quickly acupunctured Jiantong point and lift the calf, meanwhile, ordering the patient to take shoulder activities in all directions as much as possible. When the feeling of electric shock emerged and transited to the dorsum, toes and other parts,we quickly pull the needles. Two groups were treated once a day,3 times a week, and 10 times for a course. The Visual Analogue Scale/Score(VAS)and shoulder activity Melle scale were used to evaluate the therapeutic status.Results1.Statistical analysis showed that there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of gender, age, suffering shoulder position, disease course,VAS score and Melle score before treatment(P> 0.05),indicating that the two groups were comparable.2.The two groups’ VAS score after once treatment,VAS score and Melle score after course were significantly different(P <0.001)compared with those before treatment.3.VAS scores after once treatment and VAS scores after treatment between two groups were statistically significant(P <0.05),and the treatment group got lower scores than the control group. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in Melle’s score after treatment(P> 0.05).4.The cured, apparently effective, effective, ineffective cases were7,15,7,1 respectively in treatment group and 3,12,9,6 respectively in control group(P< 0.05).Conclusion1.BAJTT was much powerful in alleviating pain in patients with shoulder periarthritis than JTT either after the first treatment or the course.2.Both BAJTT and JTT had significant therapeutic effects in shoulder periarthritis, and BAJTT was superior to JTT. |
