Objective To investigate the declination and suggestion of stakeholders about the incorporated education of master of nursing specialist and specialist nurse to build a new educational model of the master of nursing specialist based on the present situation of nursing education and nursing practice in china as well as the successful experience of other countries and other domestic disciplines.Methods This research was based on literature study,comparative study and case study to design questionnaire to investigate 250 of nursing professional postgraduates,250 specialist nurses and 50 nursing experts.The survey data were analyzed by SPSS 20.0,the statistical methods include descriptive analysis,?2 test,Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test.Results 1.65.2% of specialist nurses know little of MNS,but 54.8% of nursing experts know about MNS well.48.0% of nursing professional postgraduates and 61.9% of nursing experts have a better recognition of the specialist nurse,while three groups of respndents know few of the policy supporting the joint education of master of nursing specialist and specialist nurse.2.Most of nursing professional postgraduates,specialist nurses and nursing experts support the incorporated education and think it is feasible,supplying 90.5%,89.2% and 95.2% respectively.Moreover,56.5% of nursing professional postgraduates and 60.5% of specialist nurses and 57.1% of nursing experts suggest that the education of master of nursing specialist would better be combined with the state-level training of specialist nurse.3.In all groups,the percent of the respondents who claim that incorporated education would conduct in clinical practice ranks the first position.4.52.4% of nursing professional postgraduates and 55% of nursing experts think that non-fresh graduate should have work experience but the standard could be lower than nursing specialist.However,50.5% of nursing specialists hold that fresh should also be required having work experience.50.3% of nursing professional postgraduates and 45.2% of specialist nurses and 67.5% of nursing experts consider that the length of schooling of incorporated education could keep 3 years.Most of nursing professional postgraduates,specialist nurses and nursing experts support the tutor group system,supplying 61.8%,64.8% and 75% respectively.84.8% of nursing professional postgraduates and 73.9% of specialist nurses and 92.5% of nursing experts think the speciality directions of incorporated education should be current direction and optional direction of specialist nurse training.5.47.1% of nursing professional postgraduates and 53.3% of specialist nurses and 50% of nursing experts hold that incorporated educational model and current educational model of nursing professional postgraduates should exist together.Conclusions: 1.The incorporated education of master of nursing specialist and specialist nurse is necessary and feasible.However,nursing professional postgraduate and specialist nurse are lack of the mutual recognition.Relevant stakeholders know little about the supportive policy in our country.2.The incorportated education of master of nursing specialist and specialist nurse has many advantages,but seeking common points while reserving difference is the key to realise the incorportated education.3.The education of master of nursing specialist could combine with the state-level training of specialist nurse in the clinical practice part firstly.The incorporated education of master of nursing specialist and specialist nurse should try out in some universities and exist together with current educational model.
