Objective The study was to investigate the self-perceived burden of the young stroke patients and explore its influencing factors. Methods This study was a cross-sectional descriptive survey.242 young stroke patients were chosen from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University to complete the questionnare survey, including patients and caregivers demographic date,self-perceived burden scale, center for epidemiologic studies depression scale, zarit burden interview scale, social support scale. The SPSS17.0 statistical software was used for date descriptive analysis, single factor analysis of variance, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Results 1.Totally 242 young stroke patients meeting the criteria were investigated, only 233 questionnaires were collected,so the effective collect rate was 96.28%. 2.The average score of self-perceived burden was(32.01±7.53),in addition, mild self-perceived burden accounted for 40.77%,moderate accounted for 31.76%,severe accounted for 24.03%,no self-perceived burden only accounted for 3.43%. 3.The mean of the patients depression score was(26.36±10.64),the depression detection rate was 66.95%.The mean of the patients' caregiver burden score was(48.50±17.31). 4.The mean of the social support scale score was(35.22±6.34),the score of subjective support was(19.09±4.27),the objective support was(8.82±2.11),the support utilization degree was(7.36±1.83). 5.The patients' self-perceived burden had a positive corelation with the depression and the main caregivers(r=0.343,P<0.001;r=0.502,P<0.001),and had a negative correlation with the social support(r=-0.504,P<0.001). 6.Used the self-perceived burden score as the dependent variable, the single factor analysis of variance of meaningful variables as independent variable in the multiple linear regression analysis. As a result, patients' family per capita income, the degree of self-care,main caregiver burden, depression, social support, totally five variables into the regression model accounted for 38.6% of the variance in the self-perceived burden.Further test the regression equation,F=28.56,P<0.001,which indicated that the model has statistically significant. Conclusions 1.The self-perceived burden of the young patient overall at moderate level, should not be ignored. 2.The detection rate of depression in young stroke patients was 66.95%,the patients' primary caregiver burden overall at moderate levels, the self-perceived burden had a positive relation between depression, primary caregiver burden, which should cause for concern.3.Social support and self-perceived burden had a significant negative correlation, but the level of social support was not high, we should make full use of patients' social support to alleviate the level of self-perceived burden. 4.The influencing factors of self-perceived burden were family per capita income, the degree of self care, the main caregivers' burden, depression, the social of support.
