With the development of science and technology and continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the traditional house environment can’t meet the needs of people. The house environment becomes more and more personalized and intelligent. So a new technology named Smart Home has emerged. Now, there are some Smart Home’s products lunching in market. But there are some drawbacks which can not be easily solved, for example:the high price, complex operation, energy dissipation and so on. Furthermore, with the wireless communication technology and sensor technology developing in a high speed, many people find that it can provide foundation of wireless technology about the Smart Home’s further perfection. Therefore, the product in market can’t meet people’s demand of low carbon and the pursuit of experience about new technology. Therefore, a new technology named ZigBee raised and can make the product of low power consumption and low cost come true, and it can be applied to Smart Home to improve the system’s performance. And there are little product is designed for individual house.So, this paper is mainly study an indoor Smart Home system based on Android and ZigBee. And it mainly design for the concept that individual household can use this system to intelligent monitoring the device indoor. At first, this paper learns about the agreement framework of ZigBee and ZigBee module function deeply. And according this system’s design philosophy to conduct design and feasibility analysis for this system’s overall framework and function requirement.And we adopt ZigBee protocol named ZigBee 2007/PRO to optimize the capabilities of smart home system. Because of this protocol uses random address allocation, so this system can increase the node according to the needs of environmental and other nodes have no necessary to change. So we can improve the flexibility of this system when it is building the network. Meanwhile, ZigBee2007/PRO adds a new style named one-to-multi routing, multi-to-one routing and source nodes routing and it deletes the previous ZigBee protocol redundant function item, which can increase communication efficiency and the communication quality of the signal. This is also one of the main innovation point of the paper.This paper presents a simple, affordable control architecture in smart home system. The system uses a smart phone, a PC and a ZigBee module (CC2530) to build the smart home control system. Due to the smart phone and PC are popular at now. Users may only need to provide a simple ZigBee modules and some auxiliary modules to build the entire control system, but also all others are supported by the software, and the system support PC terminal and Android terminal for intelligent monitoring, improve the system of intelligent and humane, reduce the cost, easy to promote. This is the second innovation point of the paper.In the end, in this paper, the design and implementation of each terminal, the hardware platform and the slave computer software are introduced in detail. At the same time, the functional test and performance test of the system have been carried out. The test results show that the system has realized the functional requirements and performance requirements of the indoor smart home system based on Android and ZigBee technology. At the end of this paper, the research and design of the system are summarized and prospected.
