With the development of the society and the progress of science and technology，Continuous improvement of people’s quality of life while living environment for theconvenience, comfort and safety also have higher requirements.The integration oftechnology and our daily life, making people’s life environment more humane andintelligent.Smart home is complying with the trend rise gradually.Handheld terminalscan be seen as remote control of smart home system, its performance directly affect theuser experience.So study smart home handheld terminal has a great necessity.This topic put forward a set of smart home handheld terminal as the research objectof design,it based on Android operation system.It chooses Tiny210as its hardwareplatform,adopt the high market share of Android operation system as softwareplatform,using Zigbee wireless network mode to communicate.Users can query andcontrol the situation of home system by handheld terminal.It greatly increases theconvenience of managing and controlling home systems.This design study of a wirelessnetwork instead of the traditional way of PC-based, single-chip or fieldbus technologycable network.It’s effective to solve the trouble from cable wiring system,and later formaintenance, renovation inconvenience problem.Firstly,the paper analyzed the current situation and development trend ofnetworking and intelligent home system. Secondly,raise the overall program design ofsmart home handheld terminal,including the selection of hardware and softwaresolutions and communication., Thirdly,the software solutions have been studied,including the Android development environment construction,Android-based hardwareplatform migration.Fourthly,introduced the realization of the communication part of thehandheld terminal,mainly design the temperature and humidity sensor nodes andwireless intelligent node socket.Finally introduced the handheld terminal interfacedesign.This topic builds an Android-based operating system smart home handheldterminal has some value.After testing, it is able to meet the design requirements, whichlaid the foundation for the future development of more sophisticated functions terminalequipment.
