In current society, the process of rapid development in the city, at the same time, the media in the new media change rapidly development, and establish communication plays a more and more role play a decisive role in the city’s image, this trend has attracted extensive attention of numerous experts and scholars, because of this, this paper will focus on the main content of new media with the image of the city, through the use of literature review, content analysis, comparative analysis and other methods to explain the new media and the image of the city of Wuhan.The first chapter of this paper, through the city and introduce the image of the city, with the "5W" mode from the following aspects:one is to analyze the image of the city in many aspects:the spread of the main government agencies, enterprises, local residents, migrants and the media; two is the entity and the two aspects of the dissemination of the contents of the main contact, including the sign of the city image, the function of city image, city landscape image, city environment and other aspects of the image; three is the communication channels, including print media publicity, the traditional city of electronic media city image promotion, new media promote the image of the city; four is from mainly by both internal and external pass; five is the image of the city, it is the last key link city image communication relationship, this chapter through the above aspects of the city image and the new media, and on the basis of Wuhan city image propaganda and the use of new media.From the beginning of the second chapter, this paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of city image communication mode under the background of new media, and mainly:one is the new media advantage, have spread the space on the two is the new media with strong interaction, three is the new media rich content, the main disadvantages of new media the spread of negative information dissemination of information and new media to bring the crudely made easy to fall out of control state. The second chapter and the third chapter is the general and specific relationship, analysis of new media on the advantages of Wuhan city image propaganda and the problems of Wuhan city image communication status through the third chapter and the use of new media.The last chapter through the "opinion leaders", the "agenda setting" communication theory to analyze the new media and the combination of the theory of city image propaganda good, through the analysis of the phenomenon and summed up the new media strategy is more suitable for the image of the city of Wuhan, mainly including the use of "agenda setting" to better the abundant propaganda content, using the "opinion leaders" spread influence to intensify propaganda, strengthen new media and other media cooperation, expansion of new media, as well as a variety of promotional ways to improve and standardize the new media supervision and put forward feasible suggestions, so as to establish and promote the city image of Wuhan city new media better, so that the new media in Wuhan city image construction play a greater role and propaganda, promote the comprehensive development of Wuhan City, continuously enhance the competitiveness of the city.In the present "rise of central China" call,18 provinces in the central government "along the way", Wuhan City as an important node in the city among them, therefore, needs to highlight establish and promote a positive image of the city, in response to the call, by combining power quality national coordinated development of new media and Wuhan the image of the city.
