Research On Media Presentation Of Wuhan City Image Change

With the acceleration of urbanization,the image of the city has become one of the key elements of the city's core competitiveness,which is great significance in the construction and development of the city.In the current media-based society,the media has become an important channel for shaping and disseminating the image of the city,and to a large extent affects the public's impression and perception of a city.Therefore,understanding how the media presents the image of the city has certain implications for shaping the image of the city and improving the city's development strategy.This study starts from the perspective of the media image of the city image,and takes the report of the People's Daily from 1978 to 2018 as the research object.It uses the method of content analysis and text analysis,combined with quantitative and qualitative research,and analyzes along the timeline.The news framework and discourse strategy reported by People's Daily in the Han Dynasty show the media presentation and changes of Wuhan's urban image,and analyze the underlying reasons from the perspectives of media,politics and economy,and find out the existence of Wuhan city image.The problem and suggestions for improvement.The study found that,influenced by political stance and value orientation,People's Daily basically presented a positive Wuhan city image in the take-off.In the wave of China's reform and opening up and the construction of socialist market economy,Wuhan's image has undergone three stages of change,from the prominent economic image to the economic,cultural,environmental and other subdivisions of the image,and the characteristics of urban modernization are obvious.At the same time,the historical and cultural memories of Wuhan cities are vague and tend to be homogenized in modern cities,lacking a unique urban personality.Based on the above findings,this paper believes that to create a differentiated image of the city,we must take into account the development of urban politics,economy,culture,education,sports and other dimensions,especially the mining of historical and cultural values of the city.When the media reports on the city,it is not only necessary to "report the news and not report the worry",but to give full play to the supervision function of public opinion.In addition,the government should dare to listen to the voice of the media,recognize the advantages and disadvantages of urban development,and make scientific decisions for urban development.
