Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), combining information technology andmodern management techniques, realizes full allocation and balance of enterpriseresources. It improves efficiency, reduces costs, and enables enterprises achieve bettereconomic benefits in fierce market competition. Modern coal enterprise is evolvingfrom traditional labor-intensive operation to group, informationizaion, as well ascapital and technology-intensive operation. The implementation of ERP system in coalenterprise is not only an important part of improving informationizaion, but also aneffective way of improving market competitiveness. Due to the specialty andcomplexity of products, processes and environment in coal enterprises, it is veryimportant to monitor the products and control costs. Traditional ERP system cannotprovide powerful management decision-making supporting function due to thelimitation of transaction processing system itself; therefore, the focus of ERP systemfor coal enterprises is to improve management decision-making supporting function.With the consideration of Longkou Mining Group characteristics and the actualdevelopment of informationizaion, this thesis researches and explores the effectiveimplementation of ERP system with relevant units.Surrounding the integration ofproduction, transportation, financial management, integration of the main line, acomprehensive ERP system requirements analysis, given the system’s overall solution;This thesis adopts object-oriented design ideas, and works out the overall systemarchitecture based on J2EE development architecture;According to the business andmanagement of specific division, functional analysis and module division, this thesiscomprehensively smooth out the operation processes of critical controlling systemsincluding financial management system, human resource management system,production, transportation, sales and storage system and material supply chainmanagement system. With UML (Unified Modeling Language), each subsystem ismodeled and basic functions are realized. Through the design of the ERP system, theorganization structure and business processes are optimized, customer relation is bettermanaged, enterprise information is integrated and enterprise core competitiveness isimproved. This research provides a reference for coal enterprise to better apply ERPsystem based on its own reality.
