With the development of computer technology, the level of manufacturing information systems is improved gradually. Information systems have been the most effective tools to improve the enterprise competitiveness. CAD, CAPP, ERP have been developed recently, but not matching the rapid development of information software the basic data of enterprise is not very accurate. There are not many measures to control the process of data collecting and optimize the current data.This thesis aimed at developing a "computer aided operation process analysis system". Based on the CAPP, this system generates "Operation Process Chart" by importing the process data from CAPP, assists analyst to analyze and adjust the operation process mainly by answering "5W1H" on it, ensures the accuracy of the process data, and reduces the conflicts among them, enhances the adaptability and sharing of process data, and gives interfaces for other enterprise information systems.This system was designed in UML. Rational Unified Process was used to ensure the quality of development and provided iteration and increment methods in the development. This thesis is divided into next several parts:Part one, stated the background and the significance of this research and the present situation of the operation process analysis study, especially the significance and necessity in the process management system.Part two, introduced the relative basic theories and technology in design of operation process analysis system. This part includes next aspects: the components and the purpose of operation process chart, CAPP, UML, RUP, and object-oriented database.Part three, defined location of operation process analysis system in the enterprise information system first, especially the information exchange between this system and CAPP. In this thesis, two development modes were brought to meet the requirement of different enterprises. In this part I made the requirement analysis, found out the main use cases, and defined the system borderline.Part four, use cases were used to drive the analysis and design of the whole system. For every Use Case diagram, built their Activity diagram, Analysis Class, and Sequence diagram.
