In recent years, with the continuous development of science and technology, the mass media industry has also produced a huge change. The connection between the media and the audience is more and more strong, and the influence of the media to the audience is far more than the expected imagination. The characteristics of information dissemination in the new media era, such as diversity, entertainment, interactive and virtual, cater to the demands of the development of the media, and attract the students to communicate and understand the world. The younger generation is the mainstream of the network world, and the university students as the main crowd, the subjective on the pressure of the candidates after the pressure of relaxation and more mature mind, the objective colleges and universities have a sound environment for the construction of the Internet and hardware devices, these are for college students to use new media to create a convenient conditions. The new media era, due to the lack of appropriate media literacy education, a considerable majority of college students face the lack of discrimination in the face of complex information, easy to be confused. The media literacy education of college students should keep pace with the development of new media, and train the students to be able to use the new media critically. To carry out media literacy education for college students, and to improve the students’ ability to use new media, so as to realize the importance of new media development, has become an important part of the current college education. Under this background, the author through a comprehensive survey data, summarizes the current situation and problems of media literacy education in the new media era,finally puts forward the suggestions,the media 、 the universities and the government with the collaboration of these three measures to build media literacy education body.
