Observe The Clinical Effect Of Acupuncture Combined With Medication For Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis With Pattern Of Heat Stagnation In Lung Channel

Anaphylactic rhinitis, also known as allergic rhinitis, has become a common and frequently occurring disease in otolaryngological department. It is a kind of non-infectious inflammatory disease in nasal mucosa mainly mediated by IgE after the human body has contacted with allergen. Therapeutically, western medicine has adopted multiple intervention means depending on its nosogenesis and pathogenic course. Though a wide range of documents have reported its reliable curative effect, still, there are such shortcomings in clinical applications as non-significant therapeutic effect in patients, side effect of some drugs, drug resistance generated from long-term intake, etc. However, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has demonstrated its favorable effect in adjusting human body’s immune function, strengthening and consolidating body resistance, treating both manifestation and root cause of disease, and so on. The curative result of taking TCM decoction is widely recognized. Besides, owing to its better therapeutic efficacy, minor side effect, simple and feasible access, acupuncture and moxibustion has also gained extensive recognition for the treatment of anaphylactic rhinitis. Through the observation and evaluation for the clinical efficacy of combined therapy of the common prescription-decoction of clearing pulmonary heat and desensitization with acupuncture and moxibustion, this paper aims to further enrich the TCM treatment measures for anaphylactic rhinitis.Objectives:Through observations of the clinical efficacy before and after the treatment in patients with anaphylactic rhinitis in group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion, TCM group and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, the effectiveness of combined therapy of acupuncture and moxibustion with decoction of clearing pulmonary heat and desensitization is evaluated for the treatment of anaphylactic rhinitis, and the evaluation of its safety is also acquired, which further provide the basis for syndrome differentiation and treatment of acupuncture combined with medicine.Methods:Select 57 studying objects that accord with inclusive criteria and divide them into three groups of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion, TCM therapy and therapy of acupuncture and moxibustion. Among the three groups, the decoction of clearing pulmonary heat and desensitization is taken as the addition and reduction therapy of basic prescription for the TCM group; for the group of acupuncture and moxibustion, mild reinforcing and attenuating method is applied at acupoints of Yintang, Yingxiang, Shangyingxiang, Hangu, Yuji, etc. and the acupuncture and moxibustion is performed on alternate days; for the group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion, orally taking the decoction of clearing pulmonary heat and desensitization along with acupuncture and moxibustion treatment is adopted, and the specific methods for acupuncture and moxibustion and TCM are taken as above. The course of treatment for the three groups is two weeks, and after that, intra-group comparison before and after treatment and inter-group comparison are adopted to observe the status of symptomatic remission.Results:1. There is significant difference (P<0.01) in the symptoms and signs before and after treatment after the intra-group comparisons of group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion, TCM group and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, which indicates the obvious efficacy in three groups for the treatment of anaphy lactic rhinitis. And there is difference (P<0.05) in curative effect after treatment of these three groups, also, acupuncture combined with TCM can be more effective than only using TCM or acupuncture.2. Intra-group comparison of means of symptoms and signs after the treatment of these three groups:group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion VS TCM group:the effect of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion is better than that of TCM group in relieving nasal obstruction, and both groups have equivalent effects in treating rhinocnesmus, sneeze, nasal discharge, turbinate hypertrophy, etc. Group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion VS group of acupuncture and moxibustion: the effect of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion is better than that of group of acupuncture and moxibustion in ameliorating rhinocnesmus, sneeze and nasal discharge, and both groups have equivalent effects in treating nasal obstruction and turbinate hypertrophy; TCM group VS group of acupuncture and moxibustion:the effect of TCM group is better than that of group of acupuncture and moxibustion in relieving sneeze and nasal discharge, and group of acupuncture and moxibustion is more effective than TCM group in treating nasal obstruction.3. Intra-group comparison of frequency distribution of the symbols and signs after the treatment of three groups:Rhinocnesmus:remarkable difference is found between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, but there’s no difference between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and TCM group, as well as between TCM group and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, which suggest that acupuncture combined with TCM can be more effective than only using acupuncture and moxibustion. Sneeze:remarkable difference is found between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, as well as between TCM group and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, but there’s no difference between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and TCM group, i.e. combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and TCM are more effective than acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of sneeze. Nasal discharge:remarkable difference is found between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, as well as between TCM group and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, but there’s no difference between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and TCM group, from which we can see that acupuncture combined with TCM and only TCM are more effective than single acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of nasal discharge. Nasal obstruction:there is difference between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and TCM group, as well as between TCM group and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, but no difference is found between group of combined therapy of TCM with acupuncture and moxibustion and group of acupuncture and moxibustion, which implies that acupuncture combined with TCM and acupuncture and moxibustion are more effective than TCM in treating nasal obstruction. Turbinate hypertrophy:There are differences between the acupuncture combined with Chinese traditional medicine and acupuncture group, acupuncture combined with Chinese traditional medicine group and traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine group and acupuncture group, no difference. That acupuncture combined with Chinese traditional medicine to improve turbinate swelling good effect in the acupuncture group.Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with TCM are notably effective in the treatment of pulmonosthenia pyrosyndrome allergic rhinitis, besides, owing to its low economic cost, high safety and minor side effect, it is worth to be promoted in clinical applications.
