Objectives To build a appropriate evaluation system of the clinical practice of the Master of Nursing Specialist (MNS), providing a scientific measurement for the talent appraisal, keeping the high quality of the MNS,and promoting the development of nursing specialism.Methods Literature review and theory analysis were applied to understand the advance of the evaluation system of clinical practice in China and to identify the connotation of the evaluation system of clinical practice.Depth interview was used to interview the nursing education experts and clinical nursing specialists of Chongqing medical university and the affiliated hospitals of Chongqing medical university. According to purposive sampling,10 interviewees were interviewed. Colaizzi analysis was used to analyze the interview content to identify the elements of the clinical practice evaluation system of MNS and to describe the connotations of the elements.The hierarchy of clinical practice evaluation system of MNS was set up after two rounds of enquiry with Delphi to interview 18 nursing education experts and clinical nursing specialists, as well as the evaluation system. The weight coefficients of the indexes was determined by the optimal sequence diagram.Results The evaluation system was consisted of 4 first-class indexes, 10 secondary indexes and 37 tertiary indexes. The first-class indexes included effects of clinical practice education, the operation of clinical practice education, the management of clinical practice education and the resources of clinical education, the weight coefficients were 0.287,0.282, 0.255,0.176 respectively. The recovery of the two rounds of the enquiry were 100%, amendments were put forward by 10 experts. The familiarity of the experts group was 0.8666, determination coefficient was 0.7919, authority coefficient was 0.8292. The harmony coefficient of the two rounds of experts’ opinions were 0.222 and 0.197,P=0.000<0.001.Conclusion The current study was the primary exploration of the clinical practice education evaluation system of MNS with reliability and credibility, meeting the national requirements for MNS education. In addition, the evaluation system provide an effective instrument to evaluate MNS, as well as the support of the development of high-level and applied talents of nursing.
