| Objective: To study the economic burden of disease in Xinjiang27hospitals thatthe npatient costs of hydatid disease patients. nalyze and discuss the main factors for thetreatment of hydatid disease and health policy makers working to provide reference.Methods: The data of CE patients information which covered from2008to2013wereanalyzed by SPSS19.0with methods of statistics description,analysis ofvariance,multivariate stepwise regression analysis etc..And the indirect economic burdenwas employed by the human capital method combined with Disability Adjusted LifeYear(DALY).Results: A total of2544CE patients in those hospitals were investigated.There were14286.52RMB per person as direct fee-for-service,and1451RMB per person as directnon-fee-for-service.Both of them constituted the direct economic burden. On the otherhand,the result showed that the indirect economic lost for CE was2341.32RMB perperson. Indirect economic burden of patients45-60years of age were heaviest, theindirect economic lost was6219.60yuan per person. The total economic burden was18,078.84yuan per person. The direct medical costs of county hospitals were10043.65yuan per capita, the impact factors of age, health care, complications and career; directnon-medical costs6054.55yuan, the largest Kazakh patients.Conclusion: Corresponding policy to cope with such situation should be considered bydifferent agesand hospital levels,which may get better balance of the national for helpingthe CE patients and further reduction of their economic burden. The economic burden ofhospitalized patients was weighty, should step up publicity, raise awareness of prevention,the government should increase the subsidy amount, using a variety of ways toreduce patient length of stay, reduce hospital costseffectively reduce the economic burden of the echinococcosis patients. The method in combination of human capital with DALYswas a reasonable way by using of the indirect echinococcosis economic burden inXinjiang. |
