| Objective TO investigat of efficacy of continuous blood purification(CBP) and conventional therapy in the treatment of heat stroke(HS).Methods Clinical data of22patients with heat stroke from three armyhospitals from Jan2000to Jul2013were retrospectively analyze. Patientswere assigned into treatment group(n=14) and control group(n=8) accordingto whether receiving the treatment of CBP or not. The hypothermia time andmortality were compared. The serum creatinine(Scr), urea nitrogen (BUN),creatine phosphokinase (CPK), alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartatetransaminase (AST), prothrombin time(PT)were measured and comparedbefore and after treatment. The acute physiology and chronic healthevaluation Ⅱ(APACHE Ⅱ)score ware compared on the first days, third days, fifth days, seventh days.Result The hypothermia time of treatment group was less than controlgroup(P<0.05). The value of Scr, BUN, ALT, AST,CPK,PT of treatmentgroup fell rapidly than control group after treatment (P<0.05). The APACHEâ…¡score between two groups didn’t have significant difference (P>0.05) onthe first days and the third days. The APACHE â…¡score of treatment groupware less than control group on the fifth days and the seventh days, thedifference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Among14pationts in treatment group,12pationts mend and two additional patients died, the casefatality rate was14.3percent.Among eight pationts in control group, three ofthe patients survived and five additional patients died, the case fatality ratewas62.5percent.Their mortality was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The CBP has more significand advantages than conventionaltherapy in the treatment of HS,including decrease the temperature, reduceScrã€BUNã€CPKã€ALTã€ASTã€PT and APACHE â…¡score, relieve conditionand improved the prognosis. The CBP is crucial to early treatment of HS. |
