Background:Health education is the educational activities and social activity with plan, organization,system and evaluation. Its purpose is to provide people with the knowledge skills and servicesused to change people’s behaviors, to encourage people to create consciously and develophealthy behaviors and the way of the life, to promote health, and to improve the quality of lifeof society and the nation.Health education is important to nurses. Health education is the dutyof nurse, nursing undergraduates is the main member of nurses in the future, the knowledgeand ability of health education among nursing undergraduates connects to the quality ofholistic nursing further.Objective:The objective of this descriptive study is to investigate the attitudes, knowledge, clinicalpractice and influencing factors of health education among nursing undergraduates in themedical colleges in Yunnan Province.Method:420nursing undergraduates from3Medical Colleges were investigated by usingself-administrative questionnaire. Among them,270are junior students, and150are seniorstudents. Deep-interview was used among some of the subjects.The Statistic Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version17will be used fornumerical data analysis, and the.05level of significance will be established for all analysis.Results:The junior nursing students and senior nursing students on the knowledge of healtheducation are not all-round.There are statistic significance between junior nursing studentsand senior nursing students on the attitudes, knowledge, clinical practice and the influencingfactors of health education. Conclusion:To medical colleges,instructors should enhance nursing undergraduates’ health educationcapability. They should provide “Health Education” course to enhance the learning of theoryknowledge and train the skill of health education.To practice hospitals, should provide education skill training to nursing students duringnursing practice time in the hospitals.To nursing undergraduates,should enhance nursing undergraduates’ health educationconsciousness,work out plans in different stage.
