ObjectiveTo investigate and to compare the demands and differences to training target of baccalaureate nursing education and related courses among the clinical nurses,nursing specialist and undergraduate nursing students, provide a reference for perfecting the four-year nursing undergraduate program.MethodsA self-designed questionnaire and interview were used. We recruited 40 experts who were at least associate professorship and familiar with nursing work, 150 nurses with bachelor degree and 200 nursing undergraduates. The questionnaire content is clear, detailed and operable entry of training target system, including the professional values and attitudes, knowledge, ability target and curriculum. All the data of the investigation was analyzed with SPSS 19.0. Mean and standard deviation were used to describe the general information and the results of the survey. ANOVA or Kruskal—Wallis test was selected to compare the differences among the different groups.Results1. Undergraduate nursing student attitude toward overall vocational value cognitive score and ability cognitive score was significantly lower than the nurses and the experts group(P<0.001).2. On the vocational value target dimensions, the nurse professional commitment,the nurses had higher cognitive score than the nursing students on the abide by the laws and regulations, occupational safety and cost efficiency(P≤0.017) are statistically significant(P≤0.017); Undergraduate nursing students and experts in professional commitment, respect patient privacy score comparison of nursing ethics consciousness, there are statistically significant(P=0.005~0.013).3. On the knowledge target dimensions, the nursing students and nurses in the social sciences, pharmacology and clinical medicine, nursing, nursing research, critical patients score comparison of career planning aspects, there are statistically significant(P≤0.017); The cognitive score between nursing students and experts have statistically differences in the humanities,nursing basic theory and basic nursing knowledge, scientific research(P=0.002~0.015); Nurses and experts on the humanities knowledge score was statistically difference(P<0.001).4. On the ability target dimensions, undergraduate nursing students and nurses in clinical decision making, legal, ethical practice, scores of scientific research,there are statistically significant(P=0.001~0.012);Undergraduate nursing students and experts in scientific research, legal, ethical practice, autonomous learning and professional development, self psychological adjustment ability scores were statistically significant(P=0.004~0.012).Conclusion1. Based on the analysis of cognitive findings, undergraduate nursing students have more differences with other two groups. It shows that the cognitive level of nursing students can not meet the requirement of the current actual job requirements and discipline requirements.2. Nursing students generally ignore the cultivation of vocational values, lack of correct occupational values of positive guiding role, and the manager should focus on training the knowledge and ability targets that students don’t have enough attention, achieve real-time monitoring, timely intervention.3. Graduate nurse is affected by work experience and job need, so the cognitive of nurse have a new understanding and emphasis of training objectives. Nursing educators should integrated the jobs requirement into the education of nursing students, based on nursing working need, strengthen the nursing students positive demand, correct and eliminate the thought erroneous zone, so that the students can better adapt to the nursing jobs after graduation, has been accepted by the society.
