Objective:Explore new medical reform medical education environment the new model to simulate medical education as the basis, using simulated medical teaching facilities, building innovative clinical practice teaching system, training of medical students in clinical capabilities, and effectively improve the medical students to apply the knowledge, to solve practical problems in clinical practice ability, professional competence, clinical thinking, medical ethics and the spirit of innovation. Explore a new model of clinical practice teaching, the use of high simulation simulate medical teaching methods, the creation of real clinical settings, cases and scenarios, implementation of clinical hands-on skills such as communication skills, teaching and patient medical professional quality training to enhance the level of medical education, training of qualified medical personnel, effective protection of the patient’s medical safety, better complete the mission of medical education. Methods:This research selected Class2006,2007and2008students as research subjects. Experimental group will be two groups:Class2008(Group A),136students, in the study period accepted clinical skill training and intensive training courses before internship; Class2007(Group B)145students, only carried out the practice of intensive training before internship; control group selected Class2006(Group C),138students using the traditional teaching program, as simulation hospital has not built yet at that time. Experimental group and the control group using the same graduation examination, including writing and skill examination. This study analyzed the three groups of students the basic information, collect student in basic medical course score and graduation assessment score. Analysis of clinical practice teaching system application results. Collect clinical teachers’evaluation for students’clinical performance. The process of teaching students and teachers continually collect satisfaction survey to improve the teaching system.Results:1. The research shows the student’s age grouping:Group A (20.57±0.98), Group B (20.03±2.16), Group C (20.64±1.18), P=0.072, no statistically significant difference.2. Three groups of students basic medical theory courses the average score is:Group A (72.34±9.62), Group B (69.07±12.90), Group C (70.65±5.44), P=0.068, no statistically significant difference.3. The study shows, students’graduation average scores of3groups were:Group A (73.68±8.42), Group B (65.67±8.54), Group C (63.19±4.41). Study showed simulation based clinical skills training can improved students’ clinical ability significantly, especially for surgery which requiring more performance in clinic.4. Clinical teachers’evaluation showed the students’theoretical level increased from84.23%to94.6%, the most obvious improvement is the level of clinical operations, increased from53.53%to96.2%, the clinical logical thinking skills, teamwork skills, communication capabilities were improved, the student’s ability to adapt to increased clinical increased by only8.54%, clinical teachers considered students’clinical ability and performance has greatly improved by training.5. The results of students’satisfaction survey showed that95%of students believe that clinical skill training will help them to learn medical knowledge and will be able to contribute to future clinical work.6. The result of teachers’ satisfaction survey results show that89%teachers satisfied with teaching arrangements, teaching content and time. Conclusion:This teaching system has increased throughout to clinical practice, teaching ability, can effectively help medical students sort out the basic theory of medical knowledge and master clinical skills. Simulation based medical education in medical school saves clinical teaching resources in hospital, effectively protect the patient’s safety, developed a new medical education model in China.
