Objectives:To describe the levels of depression, social support, and life quality among the Cholecystitis patients.to analyze the differences of depression, social support, and life quality in the general demographic characteristic; to provide basis and reference for intervention and the further research in influenced factor of depression, social support and life quality among the cholecystitis patients.Methods:A descriptive method was used in this study.275Cholecystitis patients were selected to investigate by using convenience sampling method from from3Grade A hospitals in Mudanjiang, in Heilongjiang province. Research instruments were composed of self-Rating Depression Scale, Social Support Rating Scale,SSRS and MOS36-Item Short-From Health Survey The data collected was analyzed by SPSS version17.0.Results:(1)There are35patients(20.8%) with no depression,169patients(61.5%) with slight depression,65patients(23.6%) with moderate depression,35patients(12.7%) with severe depression.38.5%.(2) There was statistically significant difference of depression among hospital costs, gender,Medical payment, length of stay. There was statistically significant difference of social support among gender, age, and hospital costs. There was no statistically significant difference of life quality among patient residence, medical payment,, and the length of stay.(3)There was statistically significant difference between depression and score of social support including subjective support,and good at using the support. There was statistically significant difference in objective. There was also statistically significant difference between depression and the quality of life,and its each dimension score(4) There was statistically significant difference between high and low social support and the total score of life quality including its each dimension score except the item physiological function.(5) The relationship between depression and life quality was significantly negati ve correlation; The relationship between depression and social support was sign ificantly negative correlation;The relationship between life quality and social s upport was significantly positive correlation;.Conclusions:(1) Degree of cholecystitis in patients with depression women was higher than men; Self-paid patients depression degree was higher than public and municipal health care patients; The high cost of hospitalization in patients with depression levels was higher than hospitalization patients with low cost.(2)The level of the female cholecystitis patients in the social support, objective support, and subjective support were lower than males; Public patients social support score and each dimension score were higher than patients at one’s own expenses; Less hospitalization days of patients social support score and each dimension score were higher than hospitalization days of patients.(3) The life quality of female cholecystitis patients was lower than the males; t he older the cholecystitis patients were, the lower quality of life quality they had;the higher the hospitalization cost was, the lower the quality of life they had.(4) The higher the depression level, the lower the social support they had, and the lower the life quality was; the higher the level of social support, the lower depression was, and the higher the quality of life they had.
