Tv News Talk Show Host Language Communication Behavior Research

Verbal communication is a social activity for which human use the language. Properly Speaking, it is the social activity for which people use the language to express thinking, transfer information, exchange emotions, and developing various types of social activities. Verbal communication ability has become to an important standard to measure the quality of the modern peoples. The success of speech communication behavior is our common goal. The TV show hosts are public figures because they contact with audience every day, so their activities will inevitably cause everyone’s attention. The speech activities of show hosts are related to the quality and broadcast effect of programs directly, and influence the language level of peoples.This paper First the concep of news talk show was defined, the development and actuality of TV news talk show were combed in this paper. Four elements of speech communication were pointed out, they were communication subject, communication purpose, language environment, words. Talk show is a special type of speech communication in media communication, the "two-way communication" and "interactive" characteristics of it make this dynamic process more specific and visual. The difference between general talk show and speech communication is the complexity of communication subject, the clarity of communication intention, the multilayer of communication environment, and the selectivity of discourse form.Because our country market economy reform and social structure shift gradually, television viewers demand various TV news’programs, and their requirement of new host becomes more selective. But compared with the high-speed development of the requirement of TV news’programs to adapt to the market demand, the top television news talk show hosts become less and less. So, in this article, according to news talk show programs, we select news talk show host as the research object, start form the verbal communication features of it. Finally, through the study of verbal communication, pragmatics, and transmission, etc, we find that the verbal communication process of news talk show host is from four aspect, namely:certain discourse role, clear communicative intention, choice of words form, use proper strategy.At last, we discussed the central television news talk show host Jing Chaie. She hosted the program "face to face" and "see", from the programs we selected text corpus to make a detailed analysis. Through the concrete analysis of her speech communication behavior in program process, we get that the host only changed discourse role constantly, cleared talking intention, selected words form timely talk in program, used appropriate strategy, just show her verbal communication ability and the host’s language charm, improve the quality of programs, and promote the TV news talk show develop continuously.
