Higher medical education is a kind of special education which is concerned with public health and life safety, so clinical teachers should not only impart medical expertise but also try to nurture the students. And at the entire educational process of medical students, the stageĀ°of studying clinical courses is a convergence joint between purely theoretical study and combining theory with practice, at which clinical teachers, who take task upon teaching and cultivating, play a decisive role in this transition period. Nowadays, however, with the increasing development of economy, people have more and more diverse values, which have made an impact on the values of clinical teachers in medical colleges. In recent years, enrollment expansion of higher medical colleges has brought more pressure to them, which results in such problems as the puzzle of profession orientation, lack of the strong sense of responsibility, and little interest in teaching, etc. Therefore, it is crucial to enhance the building of clinical teacher's ethics, improve their morals, and ensure the education quality of clinical medicine in Chinese higher medical colleges. This paper is aimed at analyzing the causes of the present situation of teacher's ethics, based on the investigation into it, and putting forward corresponding strategies, in hopes of making contributions to building up teacher's ethics of higher medical colleges in China. The article is divided into four parts:The first part briefly develops the model and features of medical education, and compare medical education in China with its counterpart in foreign countries.The second part elaborates the definition of clinical teachers in Chinese medical colleges, depicts the connotation of clinical teacher's ethics, and discusses the significance of its research.The third part points out the major problems existing in the construction of clinical teacher's morals by objectively describing its current situation, thus to clarify its contributing factors.The fourth part brings up the countermeasures in the present problems of the clinical teacher's ethics in Chinese higher medical colleges and its construction, as to its causes.
