Clinical Research Of The Prescription Of Invigorate The Spleen Dissolving Stasis And Detoxication Combined Chemotherapy In Patients Of Carcinoma Of Stomach

Objective:Aim to evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety,by the way of assessing the size of the tumor,symptom,the quality of life,energy,tumor marks and the side-effect of the chemotherapy,of the principle of invigorating the spleen,dissipating blood stasis and detoxicating when encountering the patients.Methods:43 cases with confirmed advanced gastric cancer were divided into test group (20 cases) and control group (23cases with 3 cases withdrawing). The traditional Chinese medicine combining with chemotherapy was used in the test group. The prescription of invigorate the spleen dissolving stasis and detoxication was used as traditional Chinese medicine treatment which was made once a day with the dose of 300ml and was given to cases by twice and the treatment lasted for 8 weeks. FOLFOX treatment was used as chemotherapy for 8 weeks of 2 cycles. Only chemotherapy was used in the control group and the chemotherapy treatment, drugs and treatment cycles were the same as the test group. After two cycles' treatment, the tumor remission rate, changes in clinical syptoms of TCM, changes in living conditions before and after treatment, changes in tumor markers and the extent of adverse reaction of chemotherapy were compared between treatment group and control group and the differences of the above indexes were analyzed statistically.Results:There is no significant difference of remission rate between the treatment group and control group in this study (P>0.05); the number of excellent, effective and noneffective cases in treatment group are 7,8 and 5 respectively while that in control group are 4,6 and 10 respectively, but no statistic difference is found by test (P>0.05); the effects of improving fatigue and anorexia in treatment group is better than those in control group (P<0.01); Kamorfsy scores and QOL are improved significantly after the treatment and the significant difference before and after the treatment is found in treatment group (P<0.01) while no significant difference is found in control group (P>0.05); the values of CA199 decrease after treatment and the significant difference before and after treatment is found only in test group (P<0.05); as for the safety, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea are milder in treatment group than those in control group with significant difference (P<0.05) and no significant difference is found in anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, mucositis, nerve paresthesia, cardiac dysfunction and liver and kidney function (P>0.05).Conclusions:The prescription of invigorate the spleen, dissolving stasis and detoxication can release some clinical syptoms of advanced gastric cancer cases, improve their general status and life quality, decrease the values of CA199 to some extent with good tolerance and high safety. It is hoped to provide more effective treatment for some cases with gastric cancer.
