The essential attribute of human society drives continuously the development of interactive social media. Tracing back to the era of language、character creation and application, to invention and popularization of paper making and printing technology, till progress of telephone and tax technology, to fast growing of information technology based on internet at the time being, we can find different characteristics through times on types of human interaction.We are already switched from traditional interactive space to networkization, and now can use various means to communicate including post comment, forwarding, sharing photos、articles, instant messaging, video chat etc., and it is still believed to progress as time goes. In the year 2009, Face book designed a thumb icon and it has been widely used to post "like" from audience. Soon after, Chinese Social networks followed the trend and added the same function to their APPs, including Sina Microblog,Wechat,QQ Space,RenRen. Shortly then posting"like"function is becoming popular among the netizen in China and people can sense that more are willing to post "like" only rather than comment.as they did. This new behavior of netizen group results in deep thinking and discussion in both social media and academic cycles. Combining with communication theory, the author analyses on what is "like", why people are kin to post "like" and effect of it in social interaction and three points listed above forms the main scope of this thesis.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, mainly on research origin, research status, research purpose, the meaning, research methods, research innovation and the difficulties; The second chapter, from the perspective of pragmatics, interpersonal interaction, and technology, the author defines what is "like" social networking, and forms a good theoretic basis for the further explanation in the next chapters. The third chapter carries on the analysis on reasons of using "like" buttons in interpersonal interaction from four points of views. Emerging in network communication, disseminator of identification requirements, the contents of information feedback, and the receiver presence are all comprised in; The fourth chapter, combined with questionnaires and in-depth interviews, analyzing the behaviors of pointing "like" in the positive and negative effects in interpersonal interaction; The fifth chapter, in respect of negative effects listed in the fourth chapter the author put forward suggestions of improvement from the technical and individual point of views.The research results show that the "like" is born in the course of evolution associated with social network interpersonal interaction, this interpersonal interaction in the network space is the presence of idea from Paul levinson, referring to "humanization compensation" in the technology evolution. At the same time it also has a certain side effect, namely "like" in interpersonal interaction in negative effects. "Like" as a breakthrough point to points which guide people to rethink the social network characteristics, the finiteness of posting "like" in interpersonal interaction on the networks, thus to urge people to keep rationality on interaction, being objective in use rather than being enslaved by technology, to reminder people of making rational utilization of social function as or similar to "like" and to experience more meaningful, interactive information transmission. Last but not the least, making full positive use of technology development and advancing personal and social progress in harmony at the time rural society is being transformed to network society.
