A Study On The Relationship Between Interpersonal Communication And Social Capital In Micro - Letter

In the communication and internet society, the people have used to communicate with others with Phone-Social networking applications. Wechat is one of the most popular Phone-Social networking applications in China, it allows people to communicate and interact with others immediately. Wechat is different from any other social networking applications and sites, which can provide the multimedia functions to individuals. People can maintain relationships by text-based message, voice-based message and’Moments’ of the functions of Wechat. Therefore, this research focused on the abroad students’ interpersonal interaction and communication in Wechat through two ways.On the one hand, the social supportive interaction and information communication in Wechat have been discussed. On the other hand, whether the changes of interpersonal communication and interaction in Wechat impact social capital or not have been argued either. Social capital is a sociology theory and can explain the social situation. The research thereby explored how the social capital impact by the changes of interpersonal interaction in Wechat.This research introduced the definition of Wechat, interpersonal communication and social capital in the beginning and applied face-to-face interview approach to analyze and explore the relationship between interpersonal interaction and social capital in the context of Wechat.
