In 2001,the standard of the compulsory education music course made by Department Education played an important part in the primary and secondary school music education reform and development. Including detailed explanation for the nature of music course, basic concept, curriculum objectives, curriculum content and so on. At the same time, coming up with some suggestions for the writing principles of teaching materials, teaching material contents and the presentation styles. Under this background, Each press called up scholars, backbone teachers to write music teaching materials. People’s music press and the People’s education press were among the first approved to write music teaching materials of the press, the textbook also passed the teaching material of countrywide middle and primary school authorized committee for examination and approval. Textbook in the more than ten years of practice, were recognized by the teachers and students with continuous development and modifying.This paper is promulgated after taking the "curriculum standards". The object of study is between the PMP school music textbooks and PEP’s. It is used a variety of research methods. Such as collecting the Data, literature analysis, and summary and so on.There are five part. The first part is introduction. It is elaborating the research background. It is for PEP and PMP between the significance of the research and status.The first chapter introduces the “school songs” to the outline of the music education. And the influence of the deceloping of the textbook to the promulgation of teaching plan. The second chapter is about theory and comparison research that the structure and content and the form of presentation between PEP textbooks and PMP’s. And analysiing the curriculum standard according to writing requirement. The third part has two sections. The first section is about investigation of some provinces andcities situation of primary school music teaching at present. The second section is surveying on teachers and students. Knowing the use of textbooks in teaching. The forth chapter, based on the original research on the theory and practice, It is positive role of textbooks in the teaching of music. And it is well received by teachers and students. Such as the text book is moderate difficulty for students to learn. It is conducive to teaching. The textbook has a certain selecitivity, combined with the actual situation of teaching for most of the students like textbooks. But primary school music textbooks still have problems in use, this chapter in the analysis,The problems are put forward at the same time, and puting giving some solving countermeasures. Such as strengthing the age of textbooks works, adding the appropriate healthy pop music, for students to develop the children’s songs; to strengthen the knowledge system of textbooks in logic, coherence; paying attention to students’music learning the skills;rational choice of music forms.Hope that through this study, the development of primary school music textbooks, the amend and the consummation has the certain model, so that the contents of textbook is more proper for the physical and mental development rule of primary school students,meeting the students’ music aesthetic requirements.
