Comparative Study Of Exercise System For High School Chinese Textbooks Published By The People’s Education Press And Jiangsu Education Publishing Press

In general, the textbook for learning Chinese in senior high school contains four parts, required article material, knowledge system, exercise system and additional reading material. The exercise part is almost most important in them and pays a key role in the textbooks. Because it helps teacher to check how well he or she teaches as well as the students learn. Meanwhile, the learner also uses it as self-testing for what learned and what missed. In additional, compared with accepting knowledge from the static carrier, required article material, the exercising is also a different and important method to mine knowledge in practice. A good designed exercise will speed up the learning process with more knowledge. Obviously, to improve the quality the textbooks as well as teaching method, the exercise should be well designed and scheduled.In this thesis, the author compares and analyzes of the exercise in the standard textbooks for learning Chinese, "The curriculum standard experimental textbook of ordinary senior high school(compulsory), Chinese(1-5 books)" in People’s Education Press and Jiangsu Education Publishing Press. There are five chapters in this thesis.In first chapter, the background and related conception is introduced. The second chapter analyzed current textbooks from three aspects of exercise. They are type, quantity and frequency. Then focus on the exercise of same article material, the two editions of Chinese language textbooks used in senior high school are compared in the chapter three. And the description and relationship of exercise are analyzed in fourth chapter. The fifth chapter summarizes the exercise in the two education of textbook. And based on it, the exercise for textbooks is understood again. At last, the conclusion of the exercise is given.
