This paper analyzes Wei Minglun' s dramas written in "new epoch" , 1978—2000 in China , from three lays and draws these conclusions. Firstly , from time lay , it is the special time brings up Wei' s dramas . secondly , from the space lay , we can say the rich Chuan cultures cultivate Wei' s traditional opera plays .Thirdly , from the Wei' s conditions lay such as family , working experience , living surroundings , the conclusion that Wei is not the natural genius but the training genius is clear.Chapter one and chapter two introduces the skeletons of Wei' s dramas and discusses the studying status on Wei' s dramas and the studying significances.Chapter three sums up subjects of Wei' s dramas that is bright senses of anti-feudalism and profound considers on "cultural revolutionary" , 1966-1976, in China.Wei Minglun' s dramas pay more attention to the direct feels on lives , but the dramas stories should be more extensive.Chapter four cards the dramatis personae of these plays .Wei prefer to manifest the commonality' s lives , especially to common women' s .The tendency of writing plays is a little short in modern time in China.Chapter five induces Wei' s artistic individuality of his dramas and this is keystone chapter of this paper .Stability and diversity is these dramas' general character. Wei sticks to traditional methods of writing drama and also conforms the living rhythm. This chapter can prove the conclusion in first chapter that "the rich Chuan cultures cultivate Wei' s traditional opera plays " by analyzing languages and artistic character of Chuan opera.
