In The 21st Century Century In China Higher Medical Training Objectives Of Undergraduate Education

The calendar has turned to the 21st century. With the rapid development of society and economy, the living level of people has improved widely. But the living quality hasn't increased with direct proportion. On the contrary, because of the depravation of the earth environment, and the pollution of the atmosphere and resource, people have caught a number of diseases. With the higher pressure of job and the quicker living rhythm, people have suffered more psychological diseases . In a word, the spectrum of disease and reason for death has changed evidently. Medical model has changed from traditional biology medical model to modern biology-psychology-society one. The healthy idea of people have been changed from pessimism to optimism and so on. It is a challenge for medical, which to serve for people, and higher medical education, which to cultivate higher special medical talence. Confronting the 21st century healthy field, World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Medical Education Committee put forward new demand on medical objectives all over the world. So from the new epoch and global view, we must attach importance to the higher medical undergraduate education objectives. The students, who we cultivate, are of encyclopedical knowledge, profound leechcraft, gracious medical morals, and precise medical manner. The students whom we cultivate , must be of serious ,responsible professional attitude, and self-giving dedicatoryinspirit for the people s health .Comparing research, study and discussion of cultivation objective of our country with those of the developed countries, such as USA, England and German, we can easily find some problem on higher undergraduate objective when we think out the actuality and realism of our cultivation objective about higher undergraduate education. These problems are as following : The medical objective is too abstract to operate and is absent of concrete target system. It can not meet with the demand of regional and country sanitation. Medical undergraduates in our country must improve of acknowledge, ability of craftsmanship and profession attitude. Aiming at these problems, the author explain the reasons, such as: the state system and policy, the autonomy of running school and medical students themselves, especially the thought of running medical school, teaching method, curriculum system, knowledge structure of teachers, medical education system, the tendency of technology in medical education, and evaluated means of the examination and so on. Finally, the author put forward her countermeasures and measures step by step.
