With the development of the intellectual technology and the circuit integration, the embedded system has been pushed to an advanced step. Embedded products have embedded in our daily life, but a higher requirement comes out from the industry and the consumption area.This dissertation gives a research of Arm-μCLinux platform based on the dual-kernel chip TMS320VC5471 from TI. The hardware interface design and system booting are given in this thesis.The mainly technology referred and the application trend is firstly introduced in the thesis. Then the key point of this thesis to resolve is settled down, which is the practical application of the TMS320VC5471 and the peripheral interface setting and the debugging. Based on the IP phone model, the platform is constituted by functional modules as memory, power, display, Ethernet, codec. The detail architecture of each block is defined after research. Also, the interface frame and the interface application based on the design guideline are given. Meanwhile, combined tightly with the practical application enviroment, there is an introduction about the reduction and porting ofμCLinux system. Against to system debugging, this thesis introduces the environment and the tools, and the details of Booting is given also. After descripting the flow and process of Bootloader, the method of certification about success booting is noted. Lastly, the system debugging process is given.The dual-kernel DSP+ARM chip working in the project performs simultaneously well on high speed calculating and system control. Its integrated interface and processing ability covers all the practical requirements of application. In this project the application of Arm-μCLinux platform has been promoted, and the dual-kernel application reflects the trend and advantage in integration and intelligent.
