A Survey On Current Health Service Status Of Rural People In Jiangchuan County

Objective Through the investigation on the health resource status,needs and utilization of the health service in Jiangchuan County.The project aims to find out the current status of health resources of the rural people in Jiangchuan County, as well as the factors that influence the needs and utilization of these resources, so as to find a way to improve the health of the rural people. Moreover, a health development plan can be designed, and the health resources can be better distributed in Jiangchuan County based on this survey.Methodology This investigation covered 3 towns by stratified random sampling according to the economic status. Questionnaires were used to collect such information as labor force, income and expense, and equipment of the hospitals or clinics at town level and village level. In addition, information of the general health status, health resources and financing was from document searching. By stratified random sampling,2194 rural people were visited in order to find out their health service need and utilization.Results We discover some questions by the investigation:1.The morbidity went up obviously for urban residents in Jiangchuan County,and they have great increasing demand in medical care;2.The prevalence of chronic non-communicable diseases has become one of the main type of disease in rural areas.We must enhance the prevention and control of chronic diseases;3.Utilization of health services was controlled by economic difficulties.4.Primary health care sector plays an important role in the rural.The three-level-net health care system needs to be perfected.5. The disease burden is still high in the region.We should actively promote rurual household incomes and improve the economic situation of farmers.6.Rural medical security system was limited.Conclusions Some suggestions are given to improve the health of the rural people at this region based on the practical status, including:The organization of health services should make effect to reduce the medical cost,improve the rate of utilization of the limited health sources and increase their income; input from different channels, strengthening of health organizations at town level and village level, better qualification of the health labor force,health education,more prevention and diseases control,easier access to health service, lightening of the health expense burden,promotion of cooperative health care system and other health insurance systems,plus more health investment from the rural people.
