| Objective:Through observation the curative effect of treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with electro- acupuncture and drug, to explore the mechanism of treating BPH with electro- acupuncture, and provide effective effective treatment method of treating BPH with electro -acupuncture.Methods : 60 cases of BPH were randomly divided into 2 groups, treatment group are 30 cases and control group are the other 30 cases. The cases of treatment group were electro- acupunctured Foot Motor Sensory Area, qugu (RN2), zhongji(RN3), guanyuan(RN4), henggu(KI11) by electro-acupuncture, then the cases of control group oral Jingzhu Longbitong capsule, all after 3 treatment course( 10 days/treatment, treatment can rest between 2-3 days) , compared the treatment efficacy of two groups, and compared the international prostate symptom score (IPSS), quality of life score (QOL), the maximal urinary flow rate( Qmax) , residual urine volume (RUV) change before and after treatment.Results: Two groups of curative effect, the total effective rate of the treatment group is 96.7%, the total effective rate of the control group is 70.0%, difference between the two groups has statistical significance (P<0.05); After treatment, the comparison of two groups, IPSS score, QOL score, Qmax, RUV, the treatment group was better than control, comparative difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).Conclusion : Cupping therapy benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) remarkable curative effect. |
