To Observe The Clinical Therapeutic Effect Of Electro-Acupunncture On Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Objective: TO evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of electro- acupuncture on benign prostatic hyperplasia. Metheds: Ehighty-four cases were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group ,the treatment group were treated with electro acupuncture at Shenshu , Ciliao, Huiyang. once daily 12 sessions constituting one course ,and the control group treated with meditation(Proscar),once daily ,three months constituting one course .Before and after treatment ,the International Scale for Prostatic Hyperplasia Symptoms(IPSS) and life Quality Indexer , RU,and the volume of the prostate were used for assemant of therapeutic effects.ResultsrThe treatment group superior to the control group in decreasing IPSS,QOL,RU and in increasing the Qmax .The control group superior to the treatment group in changing the volume of theprostate. Conclusion: The electro-acupuncture treatment can relieve clinical symptoms of prostate hyperplasia and increase the life quality of the patient,and improve the Qmax than the control group. The control group superior to the treatment group in changing the volume of the prostate.
