Objective To explore the expressions of Myeloperoxidase(MPO),Granulocyte asso- ciated antigen(CD15),P53 protein(P53)in large intestine cancerous and ulcerative colitis and define the correlation of their expressions with the clinical features.Methods The expressions of MPO,CD15 and P53 in intestine tissue specimens were determined by immunohistochemistry(two step method)in 53 cases of large intestine can- cer,20 ulcerative colitis and 10 normal colon.Results1.The positive rate of MPO in adenocarcinomas was 64.15%, the difference was signi- ficant among the three groups including the ulcerative colitis,normal mucosa (P<0.05). The positive rate of CD15 in adenocarcinomas was 62.26%, the difference was significant with the two groups including the ulcerative colitis,normal mucosa respectively (P<0.05).The positive rate of P53 in adenocarcinomas was 69.81%, the difference was significant with the two groups including the ulcerative colitis,normal mucosa respectively (P<0.05).2.The positive rates of CD15 in cancer with lymph node metastasis 75.00% was differ- ent with those without lymph node metastasis 48.0% (P<0.05),the expression of CD15 was correlated with Dukes stages(P<0.05)and was not correlated with sex,age,tumor loca- tion,tumor size and degree of tissue differentiation(P>0.05). The expression of MPO,P53 in moderately-differentiated and poorly-differentiated(76.47%,82.35%)were different with well-differentiated(42.11%,47.37%)(P<0.05), the expression of MPO,P53 were not correlated with sex,age,tumor location,tumor size,metastasis and Dukes stages(P>0.05).3.The expression of MPO might be correlated with P53(r=0.28, P<0.05), The ex- pression of CD15 was not correlated with MPO,P53 respectively(P>0.05). Conclusions1. The expressions of MPO,CD15 and P53 were correlated with the benighn or malig- nant of colonical tumor(P<0.05), the positive rates in adenocarcinomas were higher,implicated they might influence carcinomatous occurrence and development,although the progress of carcinomatous was long,the effect of MPO should be studied more and more, result which was combined was a certain value to evaluate the pathology and conditions of adenocarcinomas .2. The expression of MPO and P53 were different among the different level of histodif- ferentiation(P<0.05),and the expression in moderately differentiated and poorly differentiated were higher.The expression of CD15 was notably correlated with metastasis.These results sug- gest that the detection of MPO combined with CD15 and P53 is a good indicator to ascess dif- ferentiation and metastasis.3. There was relevance between the expression of MPO and P53,implicated that MPO and P53 might join in the progress from inflammation to cancer. |
