| Objective To investigate the relation of Heiicobacter pylori(HP) infection and coronary heart disease (CHD) and the effects on lipid metabolism, endothelin desfunction and serum immunology, and further understand the mechanism of Heiicobacter pylori(HP) infection on the developing of CHD.Methods HPIgG, interleukin-6 (ELISA) and endothelin-1 (RIA) and total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG) , apolipoprotein A(ApoA) , apolipoprotein B(ApoB),high density lipoprotein (HDL),low density lipoprotein(LDL),C-reaction protein (CRP),white blood cell count(WBC)were measured in 101 cases of CHD,with 53 healthy subjects as controls, and question them about their CHD risk factors.HPIgG (ELISA) and Carbon-14 urea breath test were measured in total 101 cases of CHD and 53 healthy subjects. Results (1) The rate of seropositive for HPIgG in CHD patients is significantly higher than that of controls(45.54% vs 28.30 % ,P<0.05). (2) The rate of positive for Carbon-14 urea breath test in CHD patients is significantly higher than that of controls(54.46 % vs 30.19 % ,P<0.01). (3) For the cases of CHD,the level of plasma endothelin-1 in these of HPIgG seropositivity is higher than that of HP seronegativity(P<0.05). (4) No correlation between chronic HP infection and essential hypertension, diabetes mellitus, tobacco use, age, gender, vocation, living condition ,alcohol consumption and family history was found. (5) For the cases of positive for Carbon-14 urea breath test in CHD patients, the level of plasma GLU is higher than that of negativity for Carbon-14 urea breath test (P<0.05).The rate of positive for Carbon-14 urea breath test in CHD patients with diabetes mellitus is significantly higher than that of CHD patients without diabetes mellitus. No correlation between positive for Carbon-14 urea breathtest and essential hypertension, tobacco use ,age, gender, vocation, living condition, alcohol consumption and family history was found. Conclusion: Chronic HP infection may be associated with CHD. Chronic HP infection may act through changing endothelin function contributing to the pathogenesis of CHD. Present HP infection is association with the level of plasma GLU and the diabetes mellitus history.Postgraduate Wang Shou Dong (Cardiology) Directed by Professor Guo Xin Gui... |
