| Purpose:This study aimed at inheriting the advantages of Chinese medicine,making up the defect of treatment evaluation, indentifying the methods of scale,taking in the TCM merits. By using subjective and objective items screening method, develop the TCM life quality scale of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF)and carry on the basic scientific evaluation.Methods: On the basis of general steps and principles in the development of the quality of life scale at home and abroad, with collecting a large number of references, our team set up IPF life quality evaluation questionnaire item pool under in the guidance of TCM theory, which contains 67 entries and the items divided into four dimensions including syndrome(TCM and western medicine),physiological function, psychological and social adaptation. Then through subjective and objective ways to screen scale items, and evaluate the degree of reliability and validity of the items, finally draft the IPF life quality evaluation scale of traditional Chinese medicine which contains 32 items.Results: The three rounds of Delphi expert consultation evaluation in expert positive coefficient are 100%. The maximum expert authority coefficient is 1and the minimum is 0.575, with a average of 0.86, shows the Delphi expert consulting group’s enthusiasm, comprehensive quality, authority and reliability are excellent. Through the expert opinion concentration statistical analyze,delete 15 items in the first round, found 2 repeat items, and then delete entirely17 items. Through the same procedure, delete 9 delete items in the second round.The three rounds of expert opinion coordination degree coefficient was 0.292,0.435 and 0.292 respectively, shows that experts achieve coordination step bystep and gradually tend to be consistent. After subjective evaluation, 41 items are remaining. Based on the result of 50 clinical self-reported survey, using EXCEL worksheets and SPSS software, we analyze and test the data of frequency distribution, correlation coefficient of inspection, discrete tendency and factor analysis. In frequency analysis test, 8 items have two or more than two options chosen frequency is less than 10%,have bad distinguish ability, and then got eliminated. In correlation coefficient test, 1 item’s dimension of the correlation coefficient is 0.462, significantly less than other items,eliminated. Due to the limitations of the study, the result of exploratory factor analysis does not evaluated by now. The result of tendency of dispersion test shows that the remaining items are sensitivity and eligibility. After objective evaluation, we confirmed 4 dimensions, 32 items. The four dimensions contain11 items, 8 items, 7 items, and 6 items respectively. In the evaluation of scale characteristic, the half reliability coefficient is 0.977 and four dimensions are 0.957, 0.946, 0.957, 0.957, shows that all the dimensions or the whole scale keep good internal consistency, the scale is credible, so does the crowns Bach reliability coefficient of the scale is 0.987, the corresponding coefficient is 0.970, 0.970, 0.970 and 0.958. Due to the foundation of the scale is fine,it has excellent validity. Compared with the CAT respiratory questionnaire standard validity coefficient is 0.819(P < 0.01), it also has a good correlation, which is a negative correlation. It can be use as a quality of scale of IPF independently,also as a tool of tool of evaluate the life quality in clinical.Conclusion: The TCM quality of life scale of IPF is based on the scientific evaluation and has great certificate and validity can be used as a reliable assessment tools after further large-scale verification.
