Objective:1. According to muscle meridian theory in traditional chinese medicine(TCM) andmodern anatomic theory, and combined with patients’ clinical symptomsobservation and to find the regularity, meanwhile as needling points forpatients in treatment groups.Compared with selecting the acupoints intraditional way with filiform needles in control group and have a analysisof clinical observation,in order to summarize the advantages of regular A-shipoints along muscle meridian in treating facial deviation in clinicaltreatment.2. To improve modern acupuncture selecting method and clinical efficacy andbasis in treating facial deviation with needling.Material and method:Sixty patients with facial deviation treated by the Affiliated hospital inLiaoning University of Traditional chinese medicine were randomized into atreatment group and a control group,30in each group and then had a comparisonfor results of clinical efficacy. The treatment group was adopted A-shi pointsalong the muscle meridian based on the muscle meridian theory; the main acupoint:sub-Yangbai, sub-Fengchi, sub-Chengqi, sub-Hegu, sub-Yifeng, sub-Xiaguan,sub-Dicang, sub-Chengjiang, sub-Taiyang, sub-Wangu, sub-Yingxiang, A-shipoints in the tempus, A-shi point in top and bototm line of the occipitalline;A-shi point in the sternocleidomastoid and A-shi point in the stomach.andusing even reinforcing and even reducing method, and retaining the needles for30minutes,once a day.Needling instrument was adopted by “Huatuo Brand”with0.35×40size.While the control group was treated by commonly used acupints in clinical:Yangbai, Taiyang, Dicang, Jiache, Sizhukong, Quanliao, Yifeng,Kouheliao,Xiaguan,Hegu(both sides).Needle instrument and needling method werethe same with the above.Results:1. The three courses of clinical curative effect than as a result, the treatmentgroup of30cases,20cases got cured,8cases were markedly effective, improvement in1case,1had no effect, the total effective rate was96.67%.Control group30cases,14cases cured,8cases were markedly improved,5cases were improved,3had no effect, the total effective rate93.33%,two groups there was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05).Showthe rate of treatment group was93.3%, and73.3%in control group, thetreatment group is better than that of control group, the difference isstatistically significant (P <0.05).2. The symptom index, according to the results of two groups of treatment canobviously improve the symptoms of the patients, statistically significantdifferences before and after treatment (P <0.05).Treatment group in thefrontal muscle movement, closed eyelids, nasolabial groove depth, shruggednasal movement, drum cheeks flat, platysma muscular contraction functionand tears discomfort index score is better than that in control group, thedifference is statistically significant (P <0.05), comes and food retentionindex score, there was no statistically significant difference in the twogroups (P>0.05).3. The two groups of patients after one month follow-up, show the healing ratewas92.6%in treatment group, control group show the healing rate was88.9%,two groups of results statistical no statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusion:Through comparing three courses’efficacy results in clinical,30patients in treatment group,20recovered,8markedly improved,1became better,1unrecovered and the total effective rate was96.67%.30patients in controlgroup,15recovered,8markedly improved,5became better,3uncovered and thetotal effective rate was93.33%.The efficiency in the treatment was93.3%andthe control group was76.7%,and the treatment group was obviously superior tothe control group.
