Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the needling therapy based on the theory of Meridians and tendons in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, and provide an effective treatment for knee osteoarthritis. Methods:The 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases in each group according to the randomized control method. In the treatment group,2 cases were lost, and 28 cases were completed. In the control group,1 case was lost and 29 cases were completed. The treatment group was treated with needle acupuncture under the guidance of meridian tendon theory, while the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture.According to the results of WOMAC osteoarthritis scale and VAS scale before treatment, after the first course of treatment, after the second course of treatment, and at the follow-up one month after the end of treatment, the difference in efficacy between the two groups was analyzed.Results:1.The WOMAC scores of the treatment group and the control group after the first and second courses of treatment were statistically significant compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).The knee function of the two groups was improved after treatment. After the first course of treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in WOMAC score between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference in knee function between the two groups. After the second course of treatment and one month of follow-up,there was statistically significant difference in WOMAC score between the two groups(P<0.05),and the knee function of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.2.The VAS scores of the treatment group and the control group after the first and second courses of treatment were statistically significant compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).The pain in both groups was improved after treatment. After the first course of treatment and the second course of treatment, there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference in the analgesic effect between the two groups.During the follow-up one month after treatment, there was a significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups(P<0.05),and the analgesic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.3.In terms of efficacy evaluation, the follow-up one month after the end of treatment,2 cases in the treatment group were cured,14 cases showed significant effect, and the recovery rate was 57.14%;in the control group,0 cases were cured,8 cases showed significant effect, and the recovery rate was 27.6%,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Improvement of knee function:both the treatment group and the control group could effectively improve the knee function, but the treatment group had better treatment effect than the control group, and the treatment effect was stable.2.Pain relief:both the treatment group and the control group showed significant improvement, and the long-term analgesic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.
