As the foundation of classical restoration, stylistic restoration had been successful in manyways: It was the first systematic restoration theory in the nineteenth century which was aimedto the gothic architecture in France, while historical architectural protection and restorationfought with each other. Its way of thinking affected Europe for several centuries, and hencebecame a reference to the present china. However, some disadvantages were criticized by theopponents such as single metaphysics, simple methods, both resulted in disapproval, deny, debating and thinking for several centuries in the area of practical and theoretical restoration. These discussions mainly reflected the conflict of aesthetic value, historical value andtechnique aspects. It is also the very reason that the difference in opinion, correlation, andconflict of value judgment give birth to the originally historical restoration subject. Meanwhile, some principles of stylistic restoration and their attitude to the ancient architecture still haveeffects in the present age. In this way, the research of "stylistic restoration "is the "beginning" of the original conflicts, which is also a "key" to the restoration of valuejudgment.
