In this paper, from the point of the development tendency and safe situation of the domestic and international carbon disulfide production in recent years, the necessary that carries out analysis and assessment of fire explosion risk for carbon disulfide production has been discussed. And the risk analysis and assessment technique have been summarized.The production technology of carbon disulfide has been introduced, the fire explosion hazard of the technology stock, solvent and product has been analysed, the possible fire explosion accident type in production process has been discussed, fault tree analysis ( FTA) method have been used to analysed the reason of various type fire explosion accidents.The crucial reason for fire explosion accident has been determined through calculating the structural important degree of every basic reason incident, which is the important reference of established precautionary measures.Using the relatively well-rounded method, DOW's index fire explosion hazard, fire explosion risk assessment for the four units in the production process has been carried out, and the fire explosion hazard grade of each unit has been determined.Aiming at three kinds of important calamity accident, pool fire,vapour explosion(VCE) and boiling liquid expanding vapour explosion (BLEVE) at carbon disulfide tank farm, using simulation assessment technique, mathematics model has been established, the scope makes its injury and los has been computed s, and defend measure has been put forward.
