This dissertation mainly focuses on the frequent occurrences of major fire explosion accidents, which will surely put human beings and wealth in danger over the world. Catering the international tendency of safety assessment, the author carries out the study of the application of computer in safety assessment, principally achieves computer's automatic discrimination of derivation of serious hazard, evaluation of serious hazard, evaluation of consequence and mimicry of consequence by computer procedure. With the result and application of the database technique of geography information system, the author establishes a complete database, knowledge base with accident instance, and then develops a package of software named "Fire Explosion and Poison Risk Assessment (FEPRAS)", which makes safety assessment more conveniently and fast.Considering the applied results, the author makes the complicated process of parameter selection into friendly interface function. Customer can select easily various evaluation parameters by the guide of the software, so it simplifies the safety evaluation process and avoids the factitiousness error in parameter selection and computation. The software can assess to the latent fire, explosion, poison in projects (engineering). In specialized evaluation in dangerous goods, the present safe condition in business enterprise and the dangerous assessment in area etc, it has extensive application.
