From the year 1979 to 1999 in China, was the "Martial Arts & Qigong Fever" period. This time period was directly started by the Chinese media, but indirectly it is audience desire.Which instigated the media to focus on Martial Arts and Qigong. The Media and practitioners where just conforming to the desires of the people.The conclusions of the research is as follows:1. The media obeys a general law of mass communication based on the desire of the people. This means that at all times, including the time period of the "Martial Arts & Qigong Fever", the media's focus is driven by the society as a whole, regardless of whether the impact is positive or negative. The specific features of this media role in "Martial Arts & Qigong Fever" are cross, relative, and continuity.2. The media showed a lack of social responsibility during the "Martial Arts & Qigong Fever". The first reason is because the general social environment was filled with negative emotions. The second reason is because peop le who worked for the media did not have a sense of their own responsibility.3. We establish the attiude of the Marxist is the most right way to treat the Martial & Qigong Fever. Especially the journalists might be a person who insist the scientific principles and news socialist principles.
