Jin Yong’s martial arts novels are China’s new martial arts novels’ s pedigree. Its influence throughout Asia, even the world. From the date of birth of Jin Yong’s martial arts novels, Jin Yong’s name has become an iconic presence. Jin Yong’s novel into a martial arts drama became the darling of the silver screen after the TV series formal development in our country maturing. Jin Yong’s 14 novels were made into films and adapted into 63 TV shows, including the unfinished TV shows. Among them, the most familiar to the audiences, is up to the The Return of the Condor Heroes, The Smiling Proud Wanderer, The Legend of the Condor Heroes and Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre. These are just the most versions that be changed. In December 2014, Yu Zheng version of The Return of the Condor Heroes was broadcasting, it was overwhelmed by the attention and comment. These questions also reflect the audience’s disagree with contemporary Chinese TV. In China’s TV market ratings-driven, the dramas creation cater to the audience kitsch psychological, this is remarkable embodiment of costume drama and martial arts especially.Many Classic martial arts novels drama, have the same historical background and framework, retain context of the story with the novels, but the plot and details of the adaptation tends to subvert the original works of fiction. Dramas logic is often not clear, the storyline is inconsistent, and dialogues detach from reality life. After many years of development, Jin Yong’s martial arts drama still occupies a dominant position in all martial arts drama. The study of Jin Yong’s martial arts TV drama is based on the following practical significance in this paper. First of all, in Jin Yong’s martial arts TV drama is still the mainstream of arts market. It often shows on the screen, shot under the screen at the same time. Secondly, Jin Yong’s martial arts dramas have many audience groups. Jin Yong’s martial arts novels are deeply rooted in the cultures of Asia as a whole, but also become an important part of Chinese culture. Again, the suspicion and resentment among the market for contemporary Chinese TV plays of the huge audience of the Jin Yong’s martial arts that have mentioned above, such TV trend really have to worry. Finally, the study of Jin Yong’s martial arts TV drama can provide support for building Socialist culture in China.This article clear the Jin Yong’s novels from the beginning to the present development, and select the recent hot TV The Return of the Condor Heroes, does a statistical comparison, consolidation, and the audience between Zhang Jizhong’s version and a recent broadcast of Yu Zheng version of the TV series, and comparative study on the novels and TV dramas of the audience. The article finds the theoretical support from narratology, audience psychology and mass communications aspects. But also points out the problems in the narrative point of view, they exist in the TV series from the point of audience’s psychological demand, then modify and perfect them. 1. Audience acceptance of differences in the direction of the narrative. The narrative is the science of narrative works. From the perspective of narrative, the article analyzes the differences between Jin Yong’s martial arts literature and drama works. Narrative is the main feature of its existence whether Jin Yong’s martial arts literature or drama. Jin Yong’s drama works are all based on his literary works, which makes the literary works and films have the same or similar narrative structure. 2. Social psychology research. The paper classify transition of the audience, explain the audience’s cognitive dissonance from the perspective of narrative, study the audience psychology from the prototype theory, the audience’s mental representation and interactive exchange psychology theory.Finally, it demands how martial arts dramas do better disseminate core spirit of Jin Yong’s martial arts from a communication perspective on martial arts TV series, and gives some different suggestions from the aspects of audience, TV production and "gatekeeper".In this paper, it takes "giant" as a sample, study from the perspective of audience, and provide the data sample and theoretical support for the reform of Jin Yong’s martial arts drama, even martial arts drama in China. The study of Jin Yong’s martial arts drama audiences, is conducive to the overall grasp of the development direction of Jin Yong’s martial arts drama and the TV market, is beneficial to adjust the current state of the martial arts drama market actively, spread positive energy and the correct values through high quality martial arts drama.
