| The 2022 Central Work and Economic Conference pointed out that Chinese society should "comprehensively promote rural revitalization and resolutely prevent large-scale return to poverty".The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also stressed the importance of "enhancing the endogenous development momentum of poverty alleviation areas and people".With the elimination of absolute poverty in Chinese society, how to establish a longer-term poverty alleviation mechanism and prevent poverty from returning to poverty after poverty alleviation has become the focus and new problem of poverty management in the future. The study of multidimensional poverty will provide new ideas for improving the quality of poverty alleviation, enhancing the resilience of poverty alleviation work, and realizing all-round and multi-dimensional common prosperity.Compared with previous studies on absolute poverty based on income as the single poverty line, the concept of multidimensional poverty starts from the causes of poverty and comprehensively considers the status of individuals or families in various dimensions such as income, social security, health, and resources, which can form a more effective mechanism for poverty governance.Poverty governance is not only to solve the problem of "poverty",but also to break the "difficulty" situation. The popularization of digital inclusive finance solves the problem of the availability of formal financial services for residents in poor areas, improves the breadth and depth of financial services, promotes equal opportunities in financial availability in society, and can form "endogenous development momentum for the people who get rid of poverty" and achieve the effect of long-term poverty governance, which is consistent with the causes of poverty and the root causes of poverty governance. This paper sorts out the definition and connotation of "poverty" at home and abroad, establishes a multi-dimensional poverty identification system including asset status, health status, education status and living security, and then uses the A-F double critical value method to calculate the multi-dimensional poverty index and the same group of research for 1380 households in CFPS China household survey data, and finally further explores the impact of digital financial inclusion on China’s multi-dimensional poverty through the Probit model and the mediation effect model. The results show that: First, from 2012 to 2018,the occurrence of multidimensional poverty in China first rose and then decreased, and there was a significant gap between the incidence of multidimensional poverty in rural and urban areas.Second, from a multi-dimensional perspective, digital inclusive finance can not only directly alleviate poverty, but also indirectly alleviate poverty by promoting residents’ entrepreneurship and household human capital accumulation.Third, the poverty reduction effect of digital inclusive finance is heterogeneous: from the perspective of urban and rural areas, the poverty reduction effect of digital inclusive finance in urban areas is significantly better than that in rural areas;Regionally, poverty reduction is the best in the western region, followed by the central region and finally the eastern region.Based on the research conclusions,it is suggested that we should focus on rural revitalization, take the development of digital inclusive finance as a breakthrough, and use differentiated governance measures between regions as a mean to make up for the shortcomings of multi-dimensional poverty governance, form an endogenous development trend of the poor population, and promote the development of common social prosperity. |
