The Effects Analysis Of Digital Economy Expansion On Income Increase Of The Rural Residents

The countryside revitalization strategy is an important way to achieve common prosperity,and promoting rural residents to increase their earnings is an important part of it.The digital economy is an economic transformation led by high-end digital technology,which rapidly and deeply penetrates into the real economy and people’s daily life,injects technological vitality into the industrial integration of countryside areas,promotes economic prosperity,and expands the earnings generation channels of rural residents.The integration of three industries in rural areas is a hot issue discussed in the first document of the central government every year.This paper combines the digital economy with the income of rural residents and verifies whether the development of the digital economy can directly affect the income of rural residents and indirectly affect the income of rural residents by promoting the integration of three industries.It has certain theoretical and practical significance on how to effectively promote the income of rural residents.Accordingly,this paper has gathered A database covering 30 provinces(city),and uses the entropy value method to calculate and analyze the expansion level of countryside digital economy and the level of integration of three industries as well as the regional differences in each province(city)in China over the past 10 years,and conducts a constructive analysis of the changes in the earnings level and earnings structure of rural residents in China.In the empirical part,we choose a systematic GMM empirical model in which the relevant control variables are included in the dynamic panel.The influence of digital economy expansion on rural residents’ earnings is found by the promotion on rural residents’ per capita disposable earnings,and By using the method of cross-item test,we find that the indirect influence path "rural digital economy development → promoting the integration of rural three industries → increasing rural residents’ earnings" does exist,and the corresponding robustness test verifies the above conclusions.In the model that does not control for the degree of integration of countryside three industries,for the eastern region with stronger economic strengths,the contribution of the level of digital economy expansion on rural residents’ earnings is stronger than that of the western region,because in the eastern region,part of the earnings promotion effect of digital economy expansion may be realized by promoting the industry integration,i.e.,the path of "rural digital economy development → promoting the integration of rural three industries →increasing rural residents’ earnings" does not control the intermediate links,which makes the effect of the digital economy inflated..In order to supplement the analysis of the influence of digital economy development on rural residents’ earnings structure directly or indirectly through the integration of tertiary industry,the empirical evidence from the two major sources of rural residents’ earnings-wage earnings and business earnings-reveals that digital economy expansion can promote rural residents’ wage earnings and business earnings directly or indirectly through the integration of tertiary industry.At the end of the article,policy suggestions are proposed,which including: enhance the construction of information facilities,lead the conversion of agriculture by digital technology,and promote the integration of three industries.
