| For a long time,China has attached great importance to the issue of food.As the largest grain crop in China, the production of corn will greatly affect China’s food security. In order to optimize the corn planting structure and ensure the income of farmers, the government began implementing the price compensation separation policy in 2016.Against this background, analyzing the impact of this policy on the corn planting area of farmers is beneficial for better understanding their production motivation, guiding them to adjust their planting structure reasonably, and has important theoretical and practical significance for solving the problem of corn supply.Firstly, introduce the price compensation separation and its implementation. And select 11 major corn planting provinces to summarize the changes and spatial differences in the corn planting area of farmers before and after the implementation of this policy based on their corn planting situation.Secondly, based on relevant theories and the actual situation of farmers’ corn planting, summarize the mechanism of price supplement separation affecting the changes in farmers’ planting area, and propose basic assumptions. On this basis, based on whether the policy is implemented or not,the main corn growing provinces are divided into an experimental group and a control group. The corn planting area is selected as the explanatory variable, the corn price and farmers’ operating income as the intermediary variable, and the implementation of the price compensation separation policy as the core explanatory variable. The implementation effect and impact path of the policy are explored by using DID model with mesomeric effect. The results indicate that, from a direct impact perspective, the separation of price and subsidy has a significant impact on farmers’ corn planting area, corn prices, and their operating income; From the perspective of indirect impact,as the intermediary variable, the operating income of farmers has a significant mediating effect, but the price has no significant impact on the corn planting area of farmers.Furthermore,SDID model was used to further explore the policy effectiveness of price supplement separation in various implementing provinces. The results showed that the impact of this policy on the corn planting area of farmers in different experimental provinces varied.By analyzing the specific situation of each province, summarize the problems that exist in the policy and its implementation process. Finally, based on the above research,in order to promote the more positive impact of the "price compensation separation" policy, targeted and feasible countermeasures and suggestions are proposed in adjusting and improving policy content, solving problems in policy implementation, and improving relevant infrastructure and supporting facilities. |
