A Study On Engels’ Thought On Urban Rural Relations

The urban-rural relationship,as an important component of the basic relationship of human society,plays a very important role in the future development prospects of each country.Engels’ urban-rural relationship thought,as an important part of the Marxist theoretical system,originated in the liberal capitalist society in the 1840 s,and its ideas are scattered in a number of classic works,such as The Situation of the British Working Class,Principles of Communism,On the Housing Problem,Natural Dialectic,and The Origin of Family,Private property and the State.This article uses the methods of comprehensive literature analysis,historical logical analysis,and the integration of theory with practice,taking the development of human history and society as the background,the development of urban-rural relations in historical society as the vertical axis,and the main content of Engels’ urban-rural relations development as the horizontal axis.Firstly,based on reviewing and sorting out domestic and foreign literature related to Engels’ thought on urban-rural relations,this paper analyzes the historical background,theoretical sources,and development context of Engels’ thought on urban-rural relations;Secondly,the main content of Engels’ thought on urban-rural relations was divided into four evolutionary stages: urban-rural identity,urban-rural isolation,urban-rural opposition,and urban-rural integration.A detailed analysis was conducted on the driving factors,impacts,development laws,and the inevitability and effective ways to achieve urban-rural integration in the future.Once again,the main characteristics and historical contributions of Engels’ thought on urban-rural relations were summarized and summarized,The main characteristics are manifested in three aspects: "the unity of inheritance and criticism,the unity of historicity and logic,and the unity of revolutionary and human nature",and its ideology has made significant historical contributions to the birth,maturity,and development of Marxist urban-rural relationship thought;Finally,the theoretical value of Engels’ urban-rural relationship theory was explored and analyzed,which is the source of Marxist urban-rural relationship theory with Chinese characteristics,providing scientific methods for understanding the development of urban-rural relationship in China,and providing very important value guidance for achieving urban-rural integration development in China.The systematic study of Engels’ ideas on urban-rural relations contains rich content,development patterns,main characteristics,historical contributions,and theoretical value,which has very important guiding significance for China to achieve urban-rural integration development,socialist modernization,and the second centenary goal.
