Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On The Quality Of Enterprise Export Product

Relying on information and communication technologies such as the Internet,big data and cloud computing,digital economy has been deeply integrated with social and economic activities,giving birth to a large number of new industrial forms and business models,and playing an important role in stimulating consumption,expanding domestic demand and driving investment.In the new era,China’s economy is shifting from a stage of high-speed development to a stage of high-quality development.The national "14th Five-Year Plan" points out that: to speed up digital development and build a digital China;We need to optimize the mix of commodities and trade methods and constantly improve the quality of exports.Digital economy is growing rapidly in China and has become a new engine for highquality economic development,a major driver for deepening supply-side structural reform and a major driving force for enhancing economic resilience.So,will digital economy promote the quality of our export products? This paper is expected to make a preliminary exploration from both theoretical and empirical aspects.The main research content of this paper includes three parts.Firstly,an evaluation system is constructed to measure the development level of digital economy.The entropy method is used to measure the development level of digital economy in 30 provinces of China(excluding Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan and Xizang),and the characteristics of the development level of digital economy are described and analyzed.Based on the relevant economic data of listed companies in the import and export database of China Customs and Wind database,this paper calculates the export product quality of listed companies by using the post-reasoning method,and analyzes the overall trend of export product quality of Chinese export companies and the change trend of export product quality of enterprises with different factor intensity in different regions.Secondly,from the theoretical level,the impact of the development of digital economy on the quality of enterprises’ export products is analyzed theoretically,and the empirical model is used to judge the relationship between the development of digital economy and the quality of enterprises’ export products,the robustness of the benchmark regression results is tested,and the channel mechanism of the development of digital economy affecting the quality of enterprises’ export products is further studied.Finally,the regional heterogeneity,factor intensity heterogeneity and trade mode heterogeneity of digital economy are investigated.Based on the above research,this paper draws the following conclusions.First,the digital economy in the sample increased steadily,with different provinces showing different performance.The quality of export products of enterprises is on the rise as a whole,and the quality of export products of enterprises in different regions and with different intensity of factors is heterogeneous.Second,the development of digital economy has significantly promoted the quality improvement of enterprises’ export products,which mainly plays a role in improving the quality of export products by improving enterprises’ productivity and enhancing enterprises’ quality production capacity.Third,the development of digital economy promotes the improvement of export product quality of enterprises,technologyintensive enterprises and general trade enterprises in the eastern region,but has no significant effect on the improvement of export product quality of enterprises,labor-intensive and capital-intensive enterprises and processing trade and mixed trade enterprises in the central and western regions.The innovation of this paper is shown in the following two aspects.First,with the deep integration of digital economy and real economy,some scholars have explored the impact of digital economy on regional economic growth and high-quality development of regional economy,and some scholars have explored the impact of digital economy on enterprise price markup,total factor productivity and enterprise division of labor.However,few scholars have studied the impact of digital economy development on the quality of enterprise export products.Therefore,this paper has enriched the relevant research of digital economy and expanded the way to improve the quality of export products.Second,this paper conducts mechanism test from the perspective of total factor productivity and innovation ability of enterprises,and further reveals the mechanism of digital economy development affecting the quality of export products.
