| At present,China’s economic development has shifted from the stage of high-speed growth to the stage of high-quality development.Although Henan province is a big economic province in China,its unbalanced and inadequate development is still prominent due to the large population base,low level of opening up and weak innovation ability,and the economic relations between cities have not reached the high-quality stage of mutual promotion and mutual progress.Under the background of accelerating the construction of a new development pattern and promoting the coordinated development of regions,it has become an important content of promoting urban development to find out the causes of unbalanced and inadequate urban development.In the process of rapid urbanization,different cities have different economic development directions and speeds.How to form orderly structure of large,medium and small cities in space under the condition of achieving harmonious and mutual assistance in economic relations between cities has become the key to the integrated development of regions and the formation of high-quality regional relations.Therefore,exploring the development of inter-city economic relations and the evolution of their spatial structure helps to clarify the development law of regional economic relations,which is of great significance to better promote new urbanization,solve the problem of unbalanced inter-regional development and accelerate the construction of a modern economic system.Economic relationship between cities refers to the mutual influence of different cities’ economy in space,including economic siphon relationship and economic radiation relationship between cities.This paper takes the economic relations between cities in Henan Province as the research object.Firstly,it takes the economic siphon relations and economic radiation relations between cities as the entry point,defines the concept of economic relations between cities,and selects Wilson model as the research method of this paper.Secondly,based on the definition of the concept,seven cross-section data from 1991 to 2021 are selected to calculate and analyze urban economic strength,urban siphon power and urban radiant power respectively from the perspective of economic influence between cities.Then,10.996 is selected as the critical point of urban economic siphon force by natural breakpoint classification method.The nondirectional binarization matrix of urban siphon force is constructed based on the principle that"if it is greater than 10.996,the value is 1;if it is less than 10.996,the value is 0".If it is less than 0,0 "is adopted to construct the directed binarization matrix of urban radiant force.Then,the social network analysis method is used to analyze the evolution of urban economic relations and network structure in Henan Province.Finally,on the basis of analyzing the existing problems in the relationship between cities in Henan Province,the corresponding optimization strategies and policy suggestions are put forward.Among the findings:(1)There are obvious differences in economic strength among different cities in Henan Province.The economic strength of Zhengzhou,the national central city,always ranks the first,and its economic strength is far greater than that of other municipality directly under the central government.The economic strength of Luoyang City,the deputy central city of the Central Plains City group,has a big gap compared with that of Zhengzhou City,and needs to be further improved.The economic strength of Kaifeng,the core city of Zheng-Kai integration,is not outstanding;Regional node cities Nanyang City,Xinyang City,Zhumadian city and Jiyuan City have shown a slow growth trend in economic development in the past 30 years.(2)The economic siphoning power of cities in Henan Province changed little in the past 30 years,and the change trend of network density showed an "inverted N" shape,among which the economic siphoning power of Zhengzhou City and Xinxiang city was significant.In addition,many places were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic,leading to the decline of economic siphoning power in 2021.(3)The economic radiation power of cities in Henan Province has changed greatly in the past 30 years,and the change trend of its network density shows an "M" shape.The core cities of economic radiation in Henan Province include Zhengzhou,Luoyang,Kaifeng,Xinxiang,Jiaozuo,Xuchang and Pingdingshan,while the transitional cities of economic radiation include Luohe,Zhoukou,Zhumadian,Anyang and Hebi.The remaining 6 cities are marginal cities of economic radiation.(4)By comparing the evolution of economic siphon power and economic radiation power network density,it is found that the change trend of urban economic siphon power and economic radiation power network density is similar after 2001,indicating that urban economic siphon power affects economic radiation power to a certain extent,and the economic radiation power is stronger in the years when the economic attraction ability of cities is strong.(5)According to the results of social network analysis,Henan Province can be divided into five regions according to the mutual influence of economic siphon force and economic radiation force among cities,respectively as follows: Northern Henan--Anyang City,Hebi City,Puyang City,Xinxiang City;western Henan--Sanmenxia City,Jiaozuo City,Jiyuan City,Luoyang City;central Henan--Zhengzhou City,Kaifeng City,Shangqiu City;central Henan--Pingdingshan City,Luohe City,Xuchang City,Zhoukou City;southern Henan--Nanyang City,Zhumadian City,Xinyang City.Among them,the economic relationship between central and central Henan cities is well developed,which is mainly composed of central cities,satellite cities and marginal cities.The northern and southern parts of Henan Province are mainly composed of satellite cities,while the western and southern parts of Henan Province are mainly composed of network marginal cities that rely on local industries to realize economic growth.Based on the above research,combined with the economic development status of Henan Province,put forward the relevant suggestions of economic development and spatial structure optimization of Henan province.The government should give full play to its role of "guidance and supervision" to create a sound economic environment.Encourage the development of geographical industries,optimize the industrial layout,accelerate the construction of industrial clusters;"Industry-research" integrated development,innovative development,to achieve high quality development;We should tap into our geographical advantages,strengthen our "weak links",improve regional interaction,and realize rapid development of regional economic integration. |
